probably not, he feels that it is what will fix the educational system, where pictures of Jesus once stood will no be photos of BHO, and where the Ten Commandments were will be replaced by BHOisms

making a class out of only the greatness of the president is indoctrination, and that is what Goebbels did to the German people with the ministry of propaganda, so in essence its the same thing. Am i saying that the barackstar is a nazi etc? no i am making a comparison, you however, can draw your own conclusions.

now if it was designed based upon the JOB of the president, then that wouldnt be too bad, because of NCLB and EOCT's we dont have a lot of time to spend on it, also i think it is important to know something about your president besides whats on the news, but it should be unbiased and completely objective, not an obama **ck sucking

why? i mean the whole basis of hitler's youth was to brainwash kids to follow hitler's ideology. i don't see any different in what our governments schools are doing with obama?

it means parents aren't doing their job if the schools are "brainwashing" their kids. Teaching a kid that UHC is good is much different than teaching them all Jews must die. Do you really see a similarity between Obama and Goebbels?

from me? You didn't read enough of my posts. The US Pres=Hitler/Nazi is pure garbage and any teacher saying it should be ashamed of themselves and their Univ should inquire as to how they actually graduated

Cool! Let's teach kids that Obama is a completely unqualified to be POTUS. His ideas should be fought at every turn. His administration should removed from power at the first available opportunity.

That's also not the same as teaching them all Jews must die.

and by that you mean through the process we have used since this country began? Teaching kids his ideas should be fought at every turn is no different than teaching everything he is doing is right.

The outrage stays the same it just changes sides every few years

i guess its ok for the pres. to influence the kids w/ his ideas, but not ok for parents to influence their kids. not surprised to get that answer

UHC is not something that this country needs. tell Obama to try to get his numbers straight next time when calculating how bad the deficit is goin to be. i guess he decided to influence kids since his ratings are sinking faster than the titanic

Massive overreaction. I think presidents routinely have such messages delivered to students by tv or otherwise, encouraging them to stay in school and do well. Asking the kids to then do some sort of letter saying how they will act on that just reinforces the message.

If anything, those of you convinced that his presidency is all about his being black should root for the possibility that his doing this -- and then asking the kids to come up with a plan to act on it -- will encourage some of the kids on the margins, particularly the black kids, to stay in school and do a little better.

The criticism -- and the article on FOX -- are a huige overreaction to a totally benign thing and just more scare tactics.

Along those lines, I find it somewhat amusing that FOX's headlines is "Critics Decry" the plan as some sort of "indoctrination." The "critics" are one guy -- a guy from the ultra conservative Obama-bashing CATO Institute.

This is the equivalent of Michael Moore starting a news channel and going around and getting quotes from Barabra Streisand and hoisting them up as "news" articles.

Seriously, a video that tells kids to work hard, study, and stay in school is indoctrination? Talk about over-reaching ....

who brought up him being black? why bring up race LG? if his speech is just about kids staying in school, etc. i have no problem w/ it. if it gets political then i do have a problem with it.
