OSHA, EPA, and all the other labor laws would prevent that.
Not saying I agree with Neocons post in it's entirety, but govt assistance programs would probably be in much better shape if politicans couldn't pander to people by promising them more govt money. "Vote for me, and I'll make sure the govt takes care of you."
