He was running against a cardboard man with a penchant for lunacy, but we were in the midst of an unprecendented economic high tide, which would presumably assure re-election.You have to remember W got pretty lucky with the 2000 election. He needed the supreme court to decide his victory. He actually lost the popular vote, which is very scary considering who he was running against. We have had terrible choices the past two elections. This one should be much better in the general election.
