On this topic, I’ve always wondered why we kept calling them stormtroopers. The Galactic Empire’s finest couldn’t shoot straight or hit the vast expanse of space if they tried.

They got that nickname back in the 90s when the away unis were closer to solid white. Only pops of orange were the numbers with black outlines plus the helmet stripe.

Now there is more orange accents like leg stripes and orange collars, wrist bands etc.

However I still like calling them Stormtroopers.

I’d love to see Orange and scarlet, but obviously that’s beyond the pale. Really wish the home unis (not to mention home field) was reversed. OSU is the rare team where away uniforms va the home uniforms are pretty much a wash. Then you have teams whose away uniform looks like trash compared to their home uni (Michigan, UGA). I like our all-whites, but they aren’t on the same level as our home uni.
