I hope it is limited to Conference Champs just to make the regular season mean a lot more. If you let Florida or Oregon in a 4 team playoff while eliminating Bama or UGA for losing the SECCG and completely ignoring Stanford you are really diminishing the regular season quite a bit.
So I'd go with:

ND
SEC Champ
KSU or OU
Stanford

Oregon and Florida are probably better than two of those but they had their chance. Thats how playoffs work out a lot of time.

I really like A&M, but they would get rolled in a rematch with Bama, giving Saban weeks to prepare for them.

Depends, what I saw was Saban doing a Les, being stubborn.

TAM is not hard to stop if you adjust ie get quickness on the field and the front has to play contain. LSU actually went to a 3-4 on D, basically had 1 DT, 5 LBs (or equivalent with Mingo and Montgomery) and 5 DBs after the first quarter and all that running around came to a stop.

Teams will adjust more next year and watch the LSU and Florida tape. Bama tried to overpower them, that isn't the way to handle it.
