If Sal Sunseri is still employed Monday

Even if he was fired the defense will be atrocious. So I don't see much point in it until the season is over.

You can't coach up bad players, we have no pass rush, Db's can not cover on 1 on 1 which is the big part of playing the 3-4. You show someone how to tackle, pass rush etc... And they can't, part of the blame HAS to be put in the players!

Kind of hard to bring in a new DC in November. Can only imagine what we could drag in this time of the year.

But....but...Dooley has recruited GREAT players.

Dooley would fire him but he doesn't care at this point because he knows he's gone too.

Here's what I'd like to see, just once:

A clause in the head coaches' contract that if one of his coordinators has to be dismissed then the buyout comes out of the coaches' salary. Then they would think really hard about who they hired.

Derek Dooley has to be the absolute WORST personnel man I've ever seen. And it's not even close.

We had a glaring clue when so many coaches had to be replaced the first two years. He never should have been allowed to hire their replacements.

The defense is atrocious now. Can it possibly get much worse then this.

Yes its atrocious now. Firing him won't change anything as far as this year is concerned. The players have no idea what's going on. And it will stay like that regardless of who is calling plays. Never has a defense needed an offseason more.

Genius idea. Because he picked his defensive co without thinking. I just need to know how you found about Dooleys top secret sleep over where he put a bunch of random names in a hat and let Smokey pull one out to see who would get the DC job. Sal is obviously horrible but to act like tons of teams would not have hired him is crazy.

With the lack of speed in this D, they should play a 4-3 cover 2 with five underneath and try a bend but don't break philosophy. Very similar to stuff Wilcox had to do.
