I hope so, but the teams in the Big 10 seem to dismal. I think it would take Michigan. No one else seems like they can do it.

College football has already looked bad this year. This years South Florida wouldn't be a top 5 team in most years.

Droski, i watched the second half of the Cal game. Tough way to lose. Cannot imagine what Tedford was thinking. Possible National Championship on line, no timeouts, w/freshman qb who had almost been sacked several times in that last drive. Not quarterback's fault. That drive may be what Tedford is remembered for.

Not really. There has been excitement, but it hasn't always been quality football. No team out there is playing like a champion right now. This may be the worst top 5 in recent memory.

UL almost made it last year, USF is on the right track but hopefully not this year. The problem is if we keep Big East as one of the BCS conferences, one Big East team wins out and appears in the title game is only the matter of time.

Exactly. His instructions should have been to go thru his reads and (if none are open) put it in the 12th row. OT still gives you a very good shot. Tough way to lose

The "big powers" of the past were able to bury good talent on the bench, but with scholarship changes those players are now playing at the smaller schools. I think it's great.

I for one would love to see them in the title game. Those kids are playing like a true powerhouse. I really like the passion that their coach has also. I wish Ole Phil would take a couple lessons on that one. I think I am really about dadgumeted and clapped out.

This South Florida team would not have been a top 5 team last year for sure. Compare them to last years final top 5, and I can't see how they would beat any of them. They may be a top 5 team this year, but last year, they wouldn't have been.

I don't expect it to stay like this year for very long, or at least not for a few more years. USF could be a new Florida State, but it seems like everybody is young this year. Next year, I expect to see a more "normal" top 5.

I think the 2006 Florida and USC teams would drill any team currently in the top 10. Either of them would beat Boston College or Ohio State by 50. There isn't really a super elite team this year.

Michigan, Ohio State, and LSU were all good last year as well.
