If Tennessee wins their New Year's Six Bowl Game what do you think their Preseason 2023 Ranking will be?

Win or lose, I don't see us much higher than fringe top 20. Losing way, way too much off this team. In any event, it's not where you start that matters. This year taught us that. Everything will hinge in QB play. If we can get anywhere close to what Milton gave us, we'll have a shot at a decent bowl. Won't be another 6, but respectable.

I said 1-5 because the Vols' rushing game is going to go off in the bowl all while Milton is gonna hit at least 2 deep balls.

UT is gonna blow everyone's minds again next year on offense, except they will be making more of those 80 yard runs like they had against Vanderbilt as well as more 67 yards bombs from Milton.

I just hope the secondary can gel next year. I do predict some improvements on defense, particularly in pass rushing, but I can't honestly say I know what the secondary will look like.

What makes you think this? Our run game was decent this year but it didn’t exactly go off. I think you’re putting too much stock in that candy game. Clemson D is legit.

Personnel losses on both sides of the ball will be difficult to replace. The cupboard is not bare, but the experience and leadership will be missing.

I think the question is where they will rank if they beat Clemson

1. other bowl game results
2. Gains and losses from the portal for all the possible ranked teams
3. Signing day results, not just todays commitments
4. Coaching staff changes for Vols and others
5. Bowl game and/ or spring practice injuries.
6. Locker room.
7. Etc.,etc.

Highest we could hope is like 7-8. I’d bet we start around 12 and move up pretty fast if we start 3-0 next year.

I voted for 15 because that’s what I think we will be viewed as. And that’s probably about right. Our defense is horrible, and one off season and recruiting class can’t fix that. And hopefully we can find Joe Burrow in the portal, otherwise we aren’t top ten good on offense either.

I don't think winning or losing will make much difference. QB will be the biggest concern, top 15 for sure, my guess is around 8th.
