If this offense had a Dual Threat QB...

I don't think people realize that Worley can run. On the read option, I wish he kept the ball a little more. Very rarely does he pull it back and run but when he does it usually results in a big gain.

I like Worley but IMO his running is hard to watch. It almost looks awkward. Yes, he should keep the ball more but there might be a good reason he doesn't.

Unless Dormady is an absolute stud lol they gotta step up tho

Dormady is a stud.

Edit: I believe he will RS next year though. Peterman would do better in this offense and will have upperclassman experience, albeit not much game experience. Similar situation for Worley this year, except PEterman would have an OL with a year of starting experience under its belt.

Next season, we don't need a dual threat QB. WE do t need a drop back QB. We just need a really good QB that can make plays.

With that said, Worley is greatly improved and has been an asset to this team so far this season. I hope he keeps it up. I'm not giving up on 2014 yet

I hope you are right. Dobbs, like Worley, didn't have much to work with last year.

Dobbs like Worley was put into play before he was ready....a freshman QB not doing well in that situation doesn't say much about their true potential. I still think Dobbs has great potential, but Worley has finally gotten into a good stride, and looking confident. I have not so much hope for Peterman, would love to be proven wrong if we have to go to him, but he has had ample opportunities to show what he can do and so far...not so much there.

Don't get to down on Dobbs though! My money says he's the next QB whether you all want it or not. So better hope he reaches his potential by seasons end, and Worley stays healthy this season.

I'm a Dobbs fan. We desperately need him to redshirt this year and take great strides for 2015 and be the man IMHO. Accuracy and ball security were evidently his primary issues as to why he's not the starter this year. Obviously, those are huge issues. However, he's a talented kid and I just refuse to believe that a kid as bright as he is, with the work ethic he seems to possess can't overcome both of those problems with another year of development. Fingers crossed.

Worley will probably keep it a few more times in this game.

GO VOLS!

The DUAL THREAT QB picket sign QB demonstrators need to come to grips...that ain't this offense! If we ever land a RGIII type, it'll be because of his passing and decision making prowess that THIS offense will thrive...Butch uses the QB read as a means to keep the D honest...everything else is gravy...not vital.

In the future we would have a unstoppable offense. With Jalen Hurd and Kamara next year with our receivers we have. We could possibly have the most dangerous offense that we have had here in a long time. The future is bright here! Go Vols! #VolNation

Jones had a dual threat QB his last year at Cincy. He avg'd 10 carries (including sacks and scrambles) per game. Worley avg's 6 carries. BTW, Jones yanked Legaux in the middle of the season in favor of a kid named Kay... who is very similar to Worley in style and skills.

Jones wants first a game manager. How many times does he have to say that before some of you will just give up and believe him?

Second, Jones wants a leader... a guy who does EXACTLY what Worley is doing now within the O.

Third, Jones wants someone who distributes the ball to playmakers OVER someone who makes individual plays.

Once all of those are satisfied and all being equal... he will choose the guy who has the better running ability.
