I think this team is a top 15 team with maymon. I mean Stokes is killing it up front with double teams the whole time. If we had maymon the teams would have to pick one or the other to double team. So the other would do amazing then add in Jordan on guard and we would be amazing.....nextyearU strikes again.

I hate living for next year but you aren't wrong. Losing Maymon was devastating to this team. Getting him back along with a blue chip wing is promising.

Next year's team should be very good. It could be great with a solid PG. Martin needs to get that fixed. Golden is not the answer. We need someone who can handle pressure and distribute the ball. Golden, McRae, Hubbs, Stokes, and Maymon will take care of scoring.

That's probably true. He's definitely come alive of late. Was struggling with the double teams earlier. Hadn't thought about that helping him really.

Agree that we badly miss Maymon. He helps in every area. But top 15 sounds too high. Especially when I see how careless this team is with the ball and our lack of consistent point guard play. Golden playing well last 2 games proves that. Glad to see us somewhat salvaging season with road wins, but I'm already looking forward to next year with Maymon and Hubbs and hopefully a better disciplined and more talented team

I think if we had Maymon, we would be competing with the Miami Heat for the NBA championship.

Top 35 team without Maymon, not top 15. Too weak at outside shooting and PG play. Would be very strong in the paint, but dependent on free throw shooting to win the tough games to be much better than that. Still would be so much better than now and tourney bound for sure.

Wow, A top 15 team with Maymon? Maymon is a good player but he does not solve our point guard issues and our outside shooting issues. If Coach does not get a good point guard this spring, we may not make it to the NCAA Tourny andCoach Zo may be looking for a new job!!!!

Only 18 points in the second half? That's not going to win many of the upcoming games. But being last in the SEC in 3-point shooting doesn't help, either. Maymon would certainly help, but he can't solve all our woes.

I agree with your premise, but next year's team should have enough overall talent to make the NCAA's in spite of PG play. Golden, while not the answer, is certainly capable of manning the spot with the talent we should have at every other position.

Any hints Stokes declares for the NBA draft ?

Maymon is probably the best ball handler on the team. He would bring the ball up court alot last year. With him this year, we probably only have 3 or 4 loses.

To be fair, while the torrid shooting dropped off in the
2nd half, and there were more TOs, the team did go into slowdown mode and milk the shot clock the last 8-10 minutes of the 2nd half, and were content playing solid defense rather than an aggressive defense, so did not get as many steals as in the 1st half, so not as many fast breaks.

I do believe losing maynon helped Stokes. He is much better with double teams now

He's definitely had "growing pains," per se, and if you listened to his post-game interview last night, he even acknowledged that, and it's shown.

He said something like, "I can't get by on just my talent. I have learned that I have to hustle and work for every single play."

If he hangs around next year, and I think he will, this team could be VERY special.

Nice 1st half last night.

A month ago this was correct without a debate. Now I am not sure. All that matters is what jarnell thinks and his recent success might start to change things

The thing that scares a little is he's physically read right now no doubt about it and that's what usually concerns most early entries to NBA.....I think his overall knowledge of the game or lack thereof may keep him one more year then again No double teams in NBA

Slowing down especially after 10 minute mark contributed to lower second half output as anything to me
