if we had maymon

I think this team is a top 15 team with maymon. I mean Stokes is killing it up front with double teams the whole time. If we had maymon the teams would have to pick one or the other to double team. So the other would do amazing then add in Jordan on guard and we would be amazing.....nextyearU strikes again.

Maymon = stud. Next year we can make waves:rock: GBO!

Right now he's not in many or is late 2nd round projection. However, if he keeps up this streak he'll definitely start to move up some boards.

Unbiased opinion, but he'd be better off staying one more year. Based on how he's played so far, I don't see a significant injury, and he will only get better with Maymon in there with him. I wouldn't be surprised to see them subbing for each other quite a bit, which would build on the skills he's learned this year.

Subbing for each other? I'd expect them to be on the floor a lot together.

I can see both sides. If the opponent has no inside presence, only one would work for D, but both may be wanted to dominate on offense. But having both in against the likes of Noel would be huge. Personally, I'd sacrifice the offense a little against teams without an inside presence in order to match up with the guards, like Martin did last night. Lots of options available.

Maymon and Stokes are made for each other. Maymon is the best passing big man in the SEC, he will light a fire under Jarnell's butt and will also garner enough attention himself to take away double teams from Jarnell.

Another year with Maymon should do wonders for Jarnell's stock, but if he plays his way into the first round this year then he might as well just go now. A major knee injury to a guy of his size/weight would not be easy to overcome.

Still like to see him next year with Maymon Hubbs and maybe a true point guard, sweet 16 here we come and maybe elite 8.:dance2:

Only 18 points in the second half? That's not going to win many of the upcoming games. But being last in the SEC in 3-point shooting doesn't help, either. Maymon would certainly help, but he can't solve all our woes.

Holy Crap! I actually agree with Special Ed. :loco::loco:

Any hints Stokes declares for the NBA draft ?

I think Noel's knee injury may tip the scales a little bit more that way. Before that, I would have said it was 75% staying one more year. Now I think it's 60% leaving and 40% staying.

Amen!!
Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel for example of how quick a life is changed.

I don't think a top 15 team with Maymon on the court is too far off the reservation as long as we're just kicking the can down the road. The need for a point guard is real but the thing about Maymon is not that it's 15 pts. a game, it's that so many of the 15 are on 50/50 balls, O-rebounds, picked pockets, etc. He compliments whoever he's on the floor with and is so versatile. Stokes would benefit tremendously from them both being on the floor at the same time. I hope it happens.
