And don't at least make it to the SECTCG, we will not go to the dance. This team has not been very good the last 14 games, and have a losing record during that time. This would be a great year to win the SECT, because it may take that to get in.

Eric,

You're smarter than this. If we win at Soth Carolina we're in the NCAAT. We could lose our first game in the SECT, and it wouldn't matter.

Most of our "good" wins, will have occurred in the first half of the season. We have been wildly inconsistent, and no where near that good the second half of the season.

Is it really a foregone conclusion that we beat SC? Right now, I'm not so sure.

Finish 1-1 and win another one in the SECT and we're going have at least 19 wins and be around 25 in RPI with the #1 SOS. I think we get in no question unless we go in the toilet and go winless.

Even with our dismal second half of the season?? I know it's your whole record they consider, but they look at how you did in conference and other things too. Vandy just played bad the other night, but they are a better team.

One more regular season win, and we're definitely in. The selection committee no longer considers last 10 or 12 games as a factor. We have too many good wins, and our strength of schedule is too strong for us not to get in.

I think we've got way too many Top 50 wins to get left out.

We have 9 Top 50 wins, that's tied with BYU for tops in the nation. It would be an epic collapse if we failed to get in.

Yeah your statement is far from accurate especially if say we beat Kentucky and lose to SC. We could lose in the first round of SEC tourney and still make the dance. What would make you think we HAVE to get to SECTG to go???

Difference is, BYU has 2 losses, we have 11, with 7 of them at home. That's not good at all, regardless of the wins against Top 50 teams.

Nobody is discounting the bad losses. Fact is, the good wins outweigh the bad losses. We have a NCAAT-worthy resume. We're not even on the bubble.

How can people disregard all the bad losses we had as well?? I just don't think it's a foregone conclusion that we are in the tourney at this point.

Just as you argue that the great wins were early on in the season, couldn't I argue that the really bad loses were as well? 9-5 against the Top 50 is pretty good. Plus have you seen the bubble teams this year? If we are out, who is in over us?

They consider a team's road record, because the games are played at neutral sites. We've been a decent road team.

Yep. The field may be worse this year than last. no way they don't get into a bigger field with that rpi

It looks pretty simple to me. If we finish 8-8 in the SEC then we are in the tourney. It won't matter what happens in the SECT.

7-9 not so sure

The only thing I'm worried about is that we may end up a 10 seed if we don't win out and win one or two in the SECT.

UT will get in with 19 wins. They should beat SC, and then win one in the SEC tourney.

do people not understand that our record and losses dont matter if everyone else's losses and records are worse?
