One more regular season win, and we're definitely in. The selection committee no longer considers last 10 or 12 games as a factor. We have too many good wins, and our strength of schedule is too strong for us not to get in.

.......and what if we do get in? We will loose the first game anyway; 8-9-or 10 seat.... Doesn't matter. I almost hope they don't get in - I'm so tired of falling exhausted on the floor with heartbreak (I say that with some jest).....
Next Year can't come soon enough!
Are you really saying you'd rather go to the NIT than the BIG DANCE? Seriously?:crazy:And too many bad loses as well. Charlotte, USC, Oakland, and CoC are four games we should win period. Yes, we have beaten the likes of Villanova, Pittsburgh, and Vandy twice but the bad loses can't be overloooked.
From the above we have 4 good wins & 4 bad loses. Which wins out for a chance at the big dance? I'm not at all set on us getting into the NCAAT. Jimmy Dykes and others seem to think we're in anyhow. It's the RPI and SOS that would back that claim.
Still, I don't think we're a lock by any means. Heck, I'd be happy with an NIT birth with this team. We played over our heads for the 1st 7 games this season. We came back to earth and really played as I expected since. I said we'd lose at least 9-10 games before the season started.
I picked us to finish 4th in the SEC East. We're 5th now and only ahead of South Carolina. We're not an NCAAT team to make any noise. Do we deserve to go? Maybe, but I don't like our chances at winning even in the 1st round. We have a better shot at winning in the NIT. Nobody wants to admit that or wants to accept the NIT over the NCAAT.
It's just a better chance with this particular team. Is the NCAAT better exposure? Sure, but I don't wanna watch anymore painful beat downs of this team. They are so inconsistent from all positions. Hopson has been the only consistent player in the past 8-10 games.
We aren't good enough for an NCAAT run or even possibly one victory in the tournament. We might could win the NIT depending on who gets left out of the NCAAT.
I'd much rather lose first round of the NCAA tournament than win the NIT. What would winning the NIT do for anyone, anyways? And too many bad loses as well.
