An Tatum brings that level of play he brought tonight watch out.

I may catch flack for this but IMO this is a top 20 team atleast this year, and is playing as well as anyone in the country.

I think we could definitely make some noise, and we play great tournament style ball.

GBO!!!

There are five important things you need to make a run in the tourney:

1) Good PG play- Check

2) Good rebounding- Check

3) Excellent defense- Check

4) Consistent three point shooting- No

5) FT shooting- Check

We got 4/5 of the things to make the run.

The question is if we get there at this point.

Any game that we get that kind of production out Tatum and Golden together. We are tough. We can hold our own inside against most anybody.

Luckily we have two guys that can catch fire from beyond the arch.

The other things are not in question.

If McRae had had his usual offensive game we'd have blown their doors off today.
But I'll take the D he played any day. Plus 5 assists.
Never doubted Tatum. Knew he'd bring it late.

Bingo!

I'm not worried about McRae one bit.

As ZJC said, if we make it is just the biggest question IMO. If we do I think we are fully capable of making some noise.

There are 7 other teams in our conf with equal or better records.

You would be incorrect considering only three teams meet that requirement.

Edit: You mean overall, not SEC.

Doesn't have a huge factor. They look at:

1) RPI

2) How you finish

3) SOS

4) Any midseason personnel changes that occured

5) Conference tourney performance

Tennessee has 3/4, and one incomplete.

And good wins/bad losses. Two wins vs a currently ranked FL and one vs vandy. Versus bad losses of Oakland, peay and c of c. The thing that will hurt us is we don't have any really good wins. Beating UK in the tourney could help. No Sig wins though.

Florida is a sig win and uconn will still be considered a good win.

There are six teams ahead of us in RPI in the SEC.
We'll play 2 of them next week.
Ole Miss has no wins over RPI 1-50 teams. We play them if they beat Auburn.
Miss St we need to beat in our second Tourney game or let GA knock them off..
We'll pass both in RPI if we beat them. They're that close.

That said, we still control our destiny.

According to TV commentators 'eye test', we have no chance at the dance unless win the SEC tourny. The RPI just is not there

I think they've been (trying) more recently stressing looking at the whole season as well, not just as much a sole focus on "how you finish"

You weren't listening.
They said the RPI cut off was 75.
Guess where we are right now?
What was the other? 17 wins. We'll have 19 if we make the SEC ch. game.

The guards just took a little long to believe in CCM, if we had 11 losses you're probably looking at a decent Chance.

Guard play is so vital in tourney play. Of late, our guard play has been better but we have all seen how our guards can play at times. Hope we can keep it going.

Regardless, at this point this team has accomplished more than most had imagined so we cannot be too horribly disappointed if they falter early in the SEC tourney.

My thoughts are, if USC made it last year, anything is possible. UT wins 2 games in the SECt and I think they have at least a 50-50 shot of getting in.

This was step 1 to getting to the dance. We absolutely have to bring it this upcoming weekend. One game at a time. Feed the inside, and then we can worry about doing that in a play in game.

Well yeah, because then they'd be playing in the SEC tournament final :p
