1) Good PG play- Check

2) Good rebounding- Check

3) Excellent defense- Check

4) Consistent three point shooting- No

5) FT shooting- Check

We got 4/5 of the things to make the run.

The question is if we get there at this point.

the times where we've really shinned like at Florida and against Arkansas, McBee or McRae as of late, have really stepped up and shot the ball well. it's crazy to think but McBee really does make a huge impact for us. McBee and McRae are those factors where if they shoot well we can be lethal

The only team that could make a noticeable difference in UT's RPI at this point in the season would be UK because of their gaudy record. No one else in the SEC has a good or bad enough record to move the need too much.

Beating high RPI teams is good for UT's resume, yes. But at some point beating up on Florida again has to have diminishing returns. Just how much would be up to the committee.

I would love to get another shot at Kentucky. We do well in the spotlight, besides the road Kentucky game. I don't think the game when Kentucky was here wad a fluke. They got real lucky. If the committee had sny sense, they'd put us in.

And good wins/bad losses. Two wins vs a currently ranked FL and one vs vandy. Versus bad losses of Oakland, peay and c of c. The thing that will hurt us is we don't have any really good wins. Beating UK in the tourney could help. No Sig wins though.

Florida beating UK would do little to nothing for UTs resume. About all it would do is guarantee Florida stayed in the RPI top 25.

Your talking about being ranked 13 which is probably either the AP or ESPN poll, neither of which has a bearing on the NCAA tourney.

In theory it's not suppossed to matter to the committee. It's suppossed to be body of work evaluation. But it couldn't hurt.

Good point guard play? We have one point guard that is decent, and even his play at the position has left much to be desired over the entirety of the season.
