Who the heck is left??

They're basicly all left untill they actually sign. I agree we need OL in the worst way but we've seen our QB situation go in the crapper the past couple of years so I wouldnt be shocked if we get another. Especially if they end up red shirting Bray.

Newton or nobody. I don't think we take another HS QB in this class.

Newton has not even been offered yet and I have not heard or seen one piece of literature that says otherwise. I think everyone is just transfixed on a 5* QB and can not over look the fact he does NOT fit our system. Kiffin does not look at stars he looks at who fits where. He fits nowhere. We have enough WR's and RB's Defense is stacked. CN wont be a TE so by default he will never be a vol

Not disagreeing, but if he hasn't been offered, why does rivals and scout have Tennessee on his list?

We have to at least consider taking another QB...doesn't sound like Laimason is panning out, and we cannot afford to have another QB not pan out...we will be set back for years to come if the next QB we bring in does not pan out

I think we try and bring in another QB we have plenty of room on the roster for another good QB, maybe not so much room in this class though, but I think you always have a contengency plan so they should try and bring in another guy. I'm sure coach would like to have tajh boyd to take over if things don't seriously pick up with crompton

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I have no idea how he would fit here. But we have been showing interest. His coaches have confirmed it about 3 weeks ago. We may still be in a wait and see mode with him. I don't think he will end up a Vol, but you never know...

But if we do take another QB in the '10 class, it will be Newton. It will be because he is older and more ready to play right now than any other QB out there. We will not be taking another project QB who will be coming in as a freshman (Grayson, Munchie, etc). Bray is our project QB and he is head and shoulders above any other QB that is left. There is no need to waste a scholly on another QB if he can't come in and help immediately. Especially when that scholly can go to fill a need to OL, DT, or LB...

that TN adds another quarterback to this class. J. Crompton was more highly rated than Tyler Bray, so there is no guarantee that he will be the answer. If Bray does not pan out and we have to wait another year to get our QB of the future, I wouldn't count on Coach Kiffin being around long enough to see him complete his eligibility. TN would be looking at another 3 or more years of inadequate QB play (and many losses). I don't believe the Volunteer Nation will tolerate this, especially with other true freshman QBs succeeding at other high-profile programs.

Good news sayeth the Lord.

I continue to tire of the experts on here that claim this "dual theat" QB will not fit our system. (It must be true - he's black, you know). One item I left out of my scouting report of a few weeks back - 0 of 0 bounce passes for 0 yards.

I think " not panning out " would be a better term to use. :) (tic)

I been telling you guys that coach reeves loves Munchie as a QB. Don't be surprised if he ends up a VOL.
