I continue to tire of the experts on here that claim this "dual theat" QB will not fit our system. (It must be true - he's black, you know). One item I left out of my scouting report of a few weeks back - 0 of 0 bounce passes for 0 yards.

I dont understand the bit about him being black. The reason I say he wont fit our system is because he is a shotgun player. Never played under center. That is not a easy thing to coach. That is a timing system. when you sit in shotgun all the time you are able to sit around and wait til there is a open guy. A step back passer has to read while on the move.

I think Cam is the only QB we will take if we take another another one. I think he would be able to come in and compete as soon as he got here.

Agree...unless they take find someone new to take a chance on as the High School season progresses. There are sometimes a few guys who fly under the radar and start shining later on.

i am hoping you are right, but i would feel alot better if we had another one come in since the cupboard is fairly barren. and fwiw, i like newton. could play right away in the SEC, has the size and experience...
