Well, we usually beat Michigan who beat OSU every year so we should have the advantage if the refs don't take it away from us.

We have played Michigan exactly one time since the dawn of man. I’m not sure that meeting 23 years ago has much bearing on this season.

I mean they’ve won a lot of games, championships, and Heismans over the years. I guess you could act like they are a MAC team if it makes you feel better, but in reality they are a giant in the sport with the resume to back that up.

We don't practice routinely in snow and ice like they do. If the weather is bad, and I saw a long range forecast of possible sleet, it's definitely not to our advantage.

They don't practice in that either, OSU has an indoor practice field

Vols going to ready this game I think CJH fixes his road woes and they win by 8 running the ball and Defense 27 to 19 score lol Go Vols . But a UT home game would be Great probably the best home venue in the field .

Sure but forgive me if I'm not awed to be in their presence just because they've beat up on a weak conference for 50+years. I want to play them to beat them, not just be on the same field as them.

You misunderstand me. I’m not awed by Ohio State by themselves. I am stoked about Tennessee, one of the great college football programs of all time, going to play Ohio State, another one of the great programs of all time, in their house. I would feel the same way about them coming to Neyland.

I mean all of their success is playing Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, Rutgers, Illinois, Minnesota and a bunch of other mid-tier teams with 2 or 3 actually good teams sprinkled in. If you think they'd have that same success in the SEC, we can pretend that to be true.

They are a giant in the sense of popularity, partially due to benefitting from an easy schedule over a long period of time, much like ND.

This CFP was not thought out as well. First 8 teams, then 10 teams, then 12 teams.
14 teams with 2 byes or 16 teams with no byes would have been better.
The mess we have is the season's rematches and the potential officials.
Each league officiates differently. It is normally a sideline adjustment.
B10 officials in a B10 vs SEC game who do you think gets the breaks.

Seem I read that visiting teams supply the refs,if we travel to OSU I hope it's SEC official

Just my opinion, but I think we win if we play them in Neyland and lose if we get them in Columbus.

I feel the same way. We haven't been out best on the road lately and under CJH. I think we would be at them at home, but not up there. Hopefully it changes.

People are bummed about playing them in Columbus. It isn't even playing Ohio State that has us bummed but not getting the home game.

I don't think anyone is bummed about playing them, it's the fact that we didn't get a home game as deserved.

Hope it’s bout foot snow on ground windy howling …. Pound the rock down their throat with Sampson bishop and Lewis and Nico hit some crossing shot routes with bru and the tight ends . Then turn it over to our defense , go vols !

I’m sure it would be a neutral conference officiating and people make to big a deal out of the cold weather…5-10 degrees difference, which is what the avg difference prob is between avg sec and avg b10 team,would have no impact on the game is my $.02
