Um I thought we hired Steele. No I'm wrong Bumpas. No I'm wrong ... No we hired Gardner ... no I'm wrong we hired Cutcliffe's DC ... no no wrong again ...

Wilcox will be just fine in 3 4 defense. This guy loves to fly around the ball. It would be a risky SEC hire but this is how great coaches advance.

4-3 with some 4-2-5.
I don't really care what he runs; after the TCU game I'm a believer. I really thought TCU was one of the three best teams in the country last year and could play with anyone; Boise St. took care of business in the bowl game.

Boise St only had 5 scholarships to give this class (8 commits), so slim pickings.

BSU fans are really upset about losing their DC. Looking over there they are calling for DD and Kiffin's heads because of this.

I'm thinking this is an excellent hire. A guy who has proven himself to be effective in stopping the spread offense is EXACTLY what we need. Oh, and not to mention his defense was 14th nationally last year and absolutely shut down a really good Oregon offense. Show him the money.

The way the press has been wrong on this so far I won't believe it until I see the guy in Knoxville at a bar with Mike Tomlin talking to some coed's...

Just when I start believing DD may be ok with his non winning record he goes and hires a guy who's team gives up about 30 pts a game. My goodness BS just outscored everyone they didn't hold anybody on D. Damn it

Well, since you stuck your foot in your mouth, I'll offer you the chance to pull it out before it becomes permanent....

Notice where Boise State is on that list and get back with me.

I don't mind this hire at all. . .but playing devil's advocate regarding the two defensive performances that are most referenced from this year, it has to be somewhat easier to gameplan for TCU and Oregon when you have as much time as he did to plan for them.

Dooley saw him up close for 3 years though, and I think he knows what he's doing.

Did we go from the oldest DC in the country to the youngest? LOL

You sir, are ignorant as to what you speak of.

Boise St scores quick and his high offense as well right?

That is going to drive some of his numbers up just by the nature of being in High Powered games all the time.

I assume your kidding right? Their D was better than ours with less talent...and they had big leads...which means they took the foot off the gas in numerous games.

Question is can he recruit? It will probably be hard to judge based on his being at Boise St.
