If Worley

He looks NFL caliber when he sets his feet and throws a 15 slant. He looks high school caliber when he throws off his back foot, a guaranteed short hopper

Perfect analysis. When he plays within himself with his feet underneath him and steps into his throws, he has more than enough arm. They need to coach his tendency to want to throw off his backfoot out of him.

Out of all the potential threads for this year, I would have NEVER thought this would be taken seriously.

Not a super legitimate draft candidate unless he breaks records this year and catches some eyes. Probably is in no ones scouting plans right now.

More likely if he were to enter the NFL it would be as an undrafted FA and have to play his way onto a squad .

With both of those things said it's hard to imagine any QB playing on Sunday that still had not officially locked down his position as a Sr QB during his Jr year. He is solid at best I just think we are so starved for good QB play we may be putting a little too much stake at how he dismantled these first two opponents. The next two games should define his growth from last year to this year.

Worley played well these last two games in system that has him throwing a bunch of passes at the line of scrimmage. Do the names Colt Brennan, BJ Symons and Timmy Chang ring a bell? What happened to those record setting players?

Worley has a lot to prove in terms of arm strength and making even intermediate level throws, let alone deep passes.

I'm so tired of reading this. I watched Worley drop plenty of intermediate dimes. He throws screens because thats the offensive system, not because that's all he can do. I watched Peyton throw a ton of screens sunday night...

He's on track for a 2,500+ yard season if he continues what he's doing. And if he has a couple of breakout games, that could easily pop to three grand. That's not great by any means, but it's not bad either. But it's not all about the college stats, but rather the Combine scores and what the scouts see.

He has as much of a chance of getting drafted as any other senior I suppose. But I think if anything he gets picked up as a FA and does scout team work at most. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised though as he seems to be a good kid and deserves a shot as much as anyone else.

<snip>. Crompton went in 5th round. Matt Simms is on the roster of an NFL team for the 3rd straight year, and even Nick Stephens and BJ Coleman were on NFL rosters for a couple of seasons.

He's playing well right now, if he keeps it up he'll be a top 10-12 QB to come out and have the potential to be a late rounder.
