If you are Gus Malzahn

It was not a good hire...it was a great hire. Do you think Bama is worried about Kifffin leaving at the moment? You do what you have to do to win right now. Muschump is a huge upgrade for AU, just like Kiffin was for Bama.

This....people kill me with this we need to have the same coaches for 20 yrs..

Hell kiff is better than our oc hands down.

Yeah, I guess, if they get the Jimmie's and Joe's to back him up. He's nothing special. He was lucky to be with great recruiting programs. :whistling:

GO VOLS!

I wish I could figure out why some of you are such babies about a FREAKING INTERNET THREAD!?!??! IF its a stupid thread, GUESS WHAT...you have the option to continue on to the other hundreds of threads. IF its so stupid, why post?!?!?!?!! I never said it WAS or WAS NOT a good hire. Are we recruiting Gus Malzahn?? Huhuhuhu look at me, im so funny, look at my sarcastic post that took more time than I had to spend on this thread since I dont like the topic. I wanted to know how many people would have made the hire knowing youll start all over again in a few years if he were to leave, especially having the perspective we Vols have been exposed to over the past few years. I am reminded why I rarely post in this forum. Mostly great posters and people but some of you are a buncha cotton headed ninnymoggins'
Put down the gun dude, it's not worth it. Just take you a Xanax instead.

Sorry guys apparently Its stupid and off topic for me to wonder what a fanbase like UT fans have been through, with all the turnover and having to rebuild all those relationships that many times, think about Gus hiring someone who could be gone to another program with the quickness? Seeing how it can affect recruiting? If we dont hire Butch who works like no other, we are still screwed from that mess more than likely. I understand if things go right its a homerun....

Well... It is off topic for the Tennessee Volunteer Recruiting Forum. If you didn't want to make a thread on the Around the NCAA Forum, you could have just posed the question in the Football Thread on here. It would have surely gotten a slew of replies.

VolNilla Ice, as I'm sure you've noticed, one of the things that makes the recruiting forum great is the absence of random threads not pertaining specifically to UT recruiting. Your thread is not stupid, and definitely has its place. May not be the RF is all.

You didn't demean him at all! How is he going to get the point! :)

So by that logic, every recruit that commits to another school should be removed since they arent related to UT directly? I used to value this forums opinion which is why I asked it here. The recruiting forum is where the people that care about UT recruiting sat and watched the horrible situation unfold so I wanted the opinion of ppl who were involved with it. Itll never happen again

Similar to the David Cutclife hire for CPF IMO. Great coordinator in the SEC for many years, tries coaching at another SEC School and it doesn't work out, so go back to the school where you had success as a coordinator..... Until you can get another HC job. Coach Cut only stayed for two seasons then left CPF high and dry again.

No doubt about it; CPF was high and dry without Coach Cut. I believe that without CDC the 2006 and 2007 seasons would have looked eerily similar to 05 and 08. CDC bought a couple of extra years for CPF.

Kiffin lovers annoy me.
