If you could pick any team for a Home and Home series..

With the bye week, I’ve found myself going down rabbit holes watching old games, and it got me thinking:

If you could pick any team to start a series with, who would it be?

Personally, I’d love to see a series with Notre Dame. I miss the atmosphere and history that comes with playing them, and it would be great to bring that tradition back.

How about you all? Which team would you want to see us line up against? And why?

Michigan. Two great college towns. Two passionate fan bases. Two great traditions. Two great stadiums. Annnnd I live in Michigan.

Oklahoma and Texas

Penn State. I think they have the best stadium outside the SEC. Also great jerseys. And a white out game at night followed by a checkerboard game at Neyland would be epic.

USC, Ohio State, Washington, Clemson

Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, or FSU. I want to play the guys who we’re always hoping will lose. Their stadium atmospheres are iconic and I believe Neyland can out do them all.

Since FSU, Michigan, and Notre Dame are always down, I want Ohio State. Give us another Georgia to trade punches with. Plus, they’re closer than any other traditional powerhouse.

I just don’t see Clemson as an iconic atmosphere. They were great for a few years, but running down a hill doesn’t wow me.

I think Virginia Tech is a great cultural fit as an opponent but I really want to play Notre Dame again (I saw them referenced).

Playing UCLA would be nice as well because we lost the last few games against them in embarrassing fashion and they kind of ended Fulmer's career so getting revenge would be nice.

Ohio State, Clemson, Va Tech

I think Ohio State is the most obvious (over Penn State and Michigan). After that I would go with USC (SoCal).

Tulane:

Should always be a win.
Tulane plays an exciting brand of football.
Great colors on the field against our orange.
GREAT food for away games in N'awlins! (white shrimp season is Aug-Dec)

In fact, I'd look to schedule 4 meetings, so people could get to know each other and invite each other to their tailgates, home & away.

A hillbilly can do worse that to have friends in New Orleans.

Boise State would be my choice with that blue turf and the chance to do some recruiting in Idaho.

Really wish we would have gone through with the trip to Provo. That would be a cool place to travel to as a a Vol fan. Washington would be my choice tho. Beautiful campus. Right on the water like Neyland. The purple vs orange would be a nice look on the field. Gimme the Huskies

Wisconsin:

Been there, ate the cheese, got the T-shirt.
Madison is a great college town, the people are lovely, and the farmland is as scenic as you'd find anywhere.

Or Navy. Because my son is a graduate of Annapolis and has been a Naval officer for many years now.
