My thoughts exactly. Fred Corral is a darn good pitching coach and Raleigh ran him off because he wanted to control the pitches called, etc. His continual losses to inferior teams, no SEC tourneys, no CBWS appearances, growing fan apathy, and the guy is just in over his head. For whatever reason, Hamilton seems to be infatuated with hiring guys from smaller colleges(excluding the previous football coach). He hit gold with Pearl and he thinks he has the magic touch apparently, but Raleigh was not ready for an SEC job. Raleigh's record at Western Carolina was 257-209 overall (a 55.1 winning %) and 132-103 in WCU conference play (a 56.6 winning %), both stats far from what you would want to see. I know that in baseball 60% winning is considered a great season in the majors but I would want to see a slightly more dominant performance in a smaller conference before moving a guy up, just my opinion. He was a bad hire, pure, plain, and simple.
