If you didn't already hate Paul Finebaum...

WKU moved the ball all over us at will and if we didn't accumulate 1/3 of our turnovers for the year in a single quarter then that game is a lot closer.

I hope it is nothing like the WKU game and that we win and look good doing it.

Oh I must of missed the part where they handed the ball to us? I thought we took it.

People who think Utah is going to even have a chance to beat us.. is stuck in the past and what we have been through the past 5 years.

They are not looking at what the talent level of our team is this year compared to what they bring to the table.

We are going to destroy them.. end of story. Stop living in the past and get ready for the future of UT football.

We will have a 4 or 5 star at very very close to every position on the field.. Utah is lucky if they put one on the field.

Get your heads out of your butts....

Our beloved UT-grad just said on ESPN SEC Nation Special "Forget about Oklahoma, I'm not sure they (UT) can get past the opening game. That's a tough one."

Um, with the results UT has had the past few years, and with Utah St being a pretty descent team, they might not get past the first game. They should, but you never know.

This is exactly how WKU was built up and NC State the year before that.

So many were saying it would be a 7-10 point game. I think we could beat Utah State just with Butch's last two recruiting classes.

We win by 21+ and get to see at least two QBs and some of our freshman in the second half.

And I missed the part where I implied that. Sans the turnovers, which were unarguably an anomaly, we played bad defense and didn't pass the ball well against WKU.

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings because I didn't think we played all that great in one of our 5 precious wins.

I watched about a total of 10 to 15 minutes of his show, twice on ESPN and just turned it off, that's what i think of him and his show, you would think that ESPN and the SEC network could do better than that, just don't watch, that will let ESPN know what you think about him :hi:

sounds about right...play them one at a time, need to earn some respect back, earn that swagger back

Finebum is right we need to think Utah State, but I think we win.

NO, FINEBAUM is never RIGHT.

We need to be ready to play, it is going to be singular to the WRU game that had allot of fire power.

I would like to add some information to this

#1 WR is probably out for stealing stipend from another player
#2 WR was just arrested for DUI (May or may not dress)
#1 RB coming back from a ACL (Unless he is A. P. I would be surprised if he is full speed) less than a year from injury

#1 QB CK had MCL and ACL repair on the same knee that is less than a year from injury, he will need to be a better pocket passer than a dual threat.

But the backup QB looked very good in the bowl game, along with winning 4 games in the regular season...

But we will see, CBJ will have our guys ready. :dance2:

Do we really need to write like Phil Steele?

Reality check time. We have no experience on either line of scrimmage. Worley has this bad habit of WAITING until the receiver is open to release the ball, thereby screwing up the timing of pass plays, and further seems to be afraid of keeping the ball on the read option. We don't know if Peterman is the practice Peterman or the Swamp Peterman.

I believe we win, but to say that this is WKU all over again is akin to believing that just because the hottest chick in the bar smiled at your joke it means that she wants to have your children.

Go to the bathroom, splash cold water on your face. Take a real look in the mirror and slow down.

It comes down to QB play. They have a real good one, and we don't know what we have at this point. So, I don't know why that would upset anyone. I'm not sure we can beat Utah State either! If you remember they nearly beat an Auburn team that barley won a game the previous year then played in the National Championship game the next year. What was the difference? QB play.

If you honestly feel that way, you are either a troll or you haven't looked at USU's squad this year.

I honestly do, if I were a football playing man USU might intrigue me. True dual threat QB's have made Tennessee look foolish for a decade, until they prove otherwise I'll give USU a solid puncher's chance.

PF's job is to have an opinion, some agree with him and some don't. I like the guy, just because he doesn't always say good things about the Vols doesn't mean he's right or wrong....

Hard to say first GOS. (MI/App St.). Vol fans might want to prepare for a close game and not expect a cakewalk. The coaching staff still has not settled on a starting QB and the game's 2.5 weeks away. USU will score some points, so UT will have to keep up. This will be a key game in the season, IMHO. Team's gonna have to gel fast and you might find out know what kind of HC you have fairly quickly. I think UT wins at home.

I think the starting QB announcement is waiting on the launch of the SEC Network just to give them some talking points about UT.

I think we already know what kind of coach we have, he would have beat you guys last year if not for a close goal line fumble. Don't expect a repeat of that anytime soon.

This team has lost to Vandy two years in a row (once handily), demonstrating they have the ability to lose to a team with much less talent. Until they start showing it on the field, there is every reason to be doubtful of their chances.
