I know we are in for a ton of stud Running backs. With Hardesty graduating, Poole rumors flying he's leaving, and Williams coming off an ACL injury, it looks like we're in for a star RB. Which one do you guys think we get?

At this point I'd say Gio Bernard. I have no confidence in that pick though. I do think we land one of the top-tier backs this year, I just have no idea which one. Dyer, or Mack Brown are possibilities.

I think Seastrunk. ESPN says Dyer, Scout says Lattimore. They all bring different things to the table. Lattimore is as good of a pass catcher as you'll find. Dyer is a thick back that fits a one cut system really well. I would take any in the top 5 and be thrilled.

I think we need a scatback. Isn't Bernard a scatback? Would he fit well in the system?

I'm less confident about this. I can easily see a scenario where Dyer-Aub, Brown-UF, Lattimore-USCe, Seastruck-LSU, Clements-Miami/UGA, Bernard-FSU/tOSU and we "settle" for someone more like Gore or Keon Williams

I really hope you are right, though

Don't forget Orleans Darkwa.

I really think it's a priority to land a big time back in this class so I think it gets done. I just haven't seen this staff disappoint yet.

No, he's not a scatback per se, but he has a burst in the open field and some shiftiness to him. We would take any of these top backs and call it a day regardless of their style. We have versatility enough with Oku and Brown.

Bernard- I believe UT has a shot; FSU is the leader.
Mack Brown- seems UT is after him hard, might visit this weekend
Dyer- Strong Au lean, but Ut's best shot at a 5-star back
Gore- I havent heard much; just know we in the top 5.

I want to get a bruiser of a back. I thouhgt Toney Williams would be that back. He looked good in practice but I guess we will see when he gets back. Maybe Keon would be a good fit. Just my .02 worth.

I think Seastrunk too.
Personally I'm just not as high on Dyer as a lot of people are.

I think staff wants Mack Brown the most. They seem to be all over this kid. But they seem to be all over every UF recruit. May be here with Blake Simms but we have heard that before and it didn't happen.

I think the darkhorse is Storm Johnson. Alot of people think he is overated but I disagree. He plays against some of the best competition in GA and has put up great #'s. He is a big back that can run pretty well. I would be happy with him. But some may not.

If you get one, it will be Mack Brown. I have been saying this for weeks.

Why would it be Mack Brown? Is he not solid either? Why do you think all your commits are going elsewhere? Your fellow fans don't share the same opinion on Elam and Mack. Just trying to understand.

Rumors that Poole is leaving? I missed that one. Can someone fill me in?

Some people think he's not happy with the playing time he's getting. One of the most popular rumors has him going to Georgia Tech.

Since I think we strike out with the big name guys, I wouldn't mind getting Bernard. I really like him for some reason. Keon Williams wouldn't be a bad option either, but I"m not sure how hes done this year, so I wouldn't lock it down that we're going for him.

This is probably the most difficult position to read for us. Really feels like we're a little all over the map. I think if we picked up Gio we'd close up shop and call it a day unless Poole does decide to transfer, in which case it's still not extremely pressing until next year if Toney Williams rebounds well.

Didn't Brown change his mind about visiting UT just recently?
Yeah, he was going to come to the UCLA game. So was Blake Sims. They are both scheduled to be here this weekend.

I think Bernard is a top 10 back for sure. I don't think Keon is a guy we take being that we have a guy that is projected at FB committed. I don't think Keon is a tailback at a big time school.

No idea where this guy is getting his info from...I swear he said the other day that Matt Elam was basically ready to decommit. Not the case at all. As long as Meyer is at UF Elam will be too.

My opinion on those 2 is this...

-Matt Elam has been talking about taking visits for months. There have been rumors about him de-committing and going to 3 different schools. First it was Ohio State, then it was WVU, now it is Tennessee. Then Florida offers Riley out of nowhere. All of that with the the fact that Elam said that WVU was "really making him think" because they could offer early PT. I don't think he is done but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

-Mack Brown is now trying to make his 2nd trip to Knoxville. IMO that speaks loudly. I think Meyer was able to convince him not to take the first visit, yet here he is trying to do it again? I don't know...I think if you are Florida then you have to entertain the idea that Brown is not solid.

I still think we keep Mack and Elam is 50-50 at this point.

I also think Mack Brown. There has to be some "negative" recruiting going on from coaches that are trying to make this kid aware of the fact that UF has no such thing as a true RB position, nor do they get backs to the NFL. He has tons of talent, and unless he's just wanting a NC trophy that badly, I'm not sure why he'd want to go there.

But then again, CUM is the guy that allegedly told a recruit Tim Tebow was a LB. With that in mind, I'm sure he's got Brown thinking he's going to change the offense for him and give him 30 touches a game. What a snake in the grass.

He uses the same shpeel every year. The offense looks no different to me, other than the fact they aren't passing as much as they did.

Why would the offense look different this season with Tebow running it...That doesn't make sense.

The offense will supposedly look different with Brantley running it. I doubt Brantley will get 24 carries a game so those plays have to go somewhere else.
