I think he meant beating bama by a td

Might have been what he meant. Wasn't what he said. You of all people should know. If you don't say it exactly the way you mean it, you are going to get slammed.

Actually, in your case, you are going to get slammed anyway. :)

Basketball sucks......it's up their with hockey, baseball and soccer.

Football, Boxing, MMA and college Wrestling are true man sports.

Wrestling? It's a bunch of dudes wearing leotards fondling each other. Not my thing.

There is so much wrong with these three words that it ruins any other point you may be trying to make.

JMO

So you apparently did not enjoy watching one of the best offenses in the country (and school history) last year? Or if you did like that perhaps you have trouble understanding that OC (whoever they may be) usually has a lot to do with that? At Arkansas they apparently understand that very clearly.

Yes. I did enjoy watching one of the best offenses in the country. Very much so as a matter of fact.

I personally feel it would have been much more enjoyable to watch with a little better play calling. You can agree or not agree. Makes no difference to me. Throwing long on third and one when you are moving the ball downfield for what could be the game winning drive to me is stupid. That is just an example.

Was the O exciting to watch. Yes. Doesn't mean the in game coaching was good though.

You have your opinion on this. I have mine. Mine is....I'm glad he won't be running the Offense this year.

would you rather keep jay graham and lose to florida tonight or lose jg and keep the tourney hopes alive with this awesome victory? It was a punch in the gut to hear about jg this morning but the win over florida has eased that pain. Nice victory - gbo!
what!!!

I was not crazy about everything Chaney did either. For example the play calling during Kentucky loss was a joke (running wildcat on 1st down at Kentucky 7 yard line for example). However, overall I still think Chaney did a very good job - offense improved every year, they brought in good recruits (and good assistants to fix things that were broken -Pittman and Graham for running game, etc).
So even though I agree with what you said about throwing on third and short etc, and the example I listed - I still think we will regret not having that staff once we see what is likely in store going forward. While we can blame Chaney for that Kentucky game don't forget that our new staff had done even worse than that at times - I think I saw somewhere they only scored 3 points vs UConn at home last year - can you imagine how our fans would react to that? I want to be optimistic about the future but I just have a feeling that when they fired Dooley they also threw the baby (offensive staff) out with the bathwater.
I understand Dooley had to go, but the pragmatic approach could have been to keep Chaney and offensive staff intact and just get the new HC who would hire an experience DC and go with that - to me Fulmer and Chavis would make a lot of sense if they would be willing to do this). Let me also add that I give Dooley a lot of credit for being pragmatic and keeping Chaney when he was hired (Chaney was the only leftover from Kiffin's staff if I remember correctly and I think it was critical to do this to have Bray and few other Kiffin's recruits on board and excited when Dooley took over). I also think this may be why he was able to finish in top 10 in recruiting in his first year.

While I didn't care for Chaney as a coach, I can understand where you are coming from.

My guess is that CBJ just really didn't think he would fit in with what he is planning to do. A new HC is going to surround himself with the people he thinks will fit his gameplan the best. After that, only time will tell if he was right or not.
