Tanner Owen had a down year, I talked to his coach and others and the overall opinion is he has actually regressed. He's a great kid and student, he just doesn't have the fire needed to play at this level. He really needed to prove something this year and show improvement. I think at this point you would very likely see him go to an OVC school, Western KY, or Peay. If he goes to an SEC school he will probably end up at Miss St, Vandy, Ole Miss as a fall back player if other options go elsewhere.

I talked to his older brother last night, he has all the natural gifts you want, size, strength etc. He just hasn't got the fire and desire, he lacks the mean streak you want. He has all the intelligence you need from an O-lineman though.

If he was to really let loose his senior season he might draw some interest. His coach told me he thought they used him too much on defense and decided to have him play O-line only, I expect he will play on offense only next year, it may help him.

kiffin did say in his opening presser he would recruit the instate kids. The people on here last year was not happy with fulmer and his recruiting of tn. Now that kiffin isnt, recruiting tn well, there isnt any talent??? Wow what a change of heart!!!!!
