Yeah, I think our team as a whole got overconfident, our defensive coaching staff got pantsed, Spencer Rattler played the game of his life and weird things sometimes happen at Williams-Brice at night.

Essentially college football in a nutshell. Lots of factors that go beyond talent. Which is why I prefer it to the NFL. The chaos alone can make games that shouldn't be interesting, interesting. Sucks when you are on the short end, but it is amazing when you are not!

Imo there's no way anyone can tell me the defense didn't throw that game. We weren't great on defense last year but nobody else scored on us like south carolina. Bama was the closest but we stopped them several times. We stopped sc once and nobody can tell me that sc was better than bama. Idk if it was to prove a point or what but they didn't show up at all. We will never know what happened that night though.

I think Rattler just has a very high ceiling, and as is typical with our luck the one time in his life he hit it was against us. He was making multiple elite throws in that game. Our team was vulnerable to a passing attack last year because our secondary was bad. If they had to cover anybody for more than a second or two, people would be open. Bama hurt us, Rattler hurt us and UGA pretty much moved at will also until it started raining and they quit throwing.

I stand by what i believe. You can decide to believe what you believe and I'll do the same. Either way we will probably never know the truth.

Might ruffle some feathers on this one but in a way, I wish when kids commit to a different school over us that the thread is moved to Around the NCAA until either he decommits or is currently committed to us for that year. Bothers me to see another kid committed to another school thread and it’s at the top of the recruiting thread. Idk , maybe I’m crazy . I know they are still considered “targets” but still.

There are way too many examples of kids flipping, decommitting, etc before NSD.

If anything, with the current NIL era, coming in 2nd is a big deal. There's a 100% guarantee that a recruit in this class will transfer into Tennessee.

In the last several years , which targets do you know that we came 2nd or 3rd for and then he transfers here? Put em in the transfer portal thread then or combine them , just I’ve been following recruitment since I was shoot, 14 years old and in those many years I can’t think of one TOP target that had us top 3 then transferred here. I could be wrong, but I can’t think of any.

Out em in the transfer portal thread then combine them just I’ve been following recruitment since I was shoot 14 years old and in those many years I can’t think of one top target that had us top 3 then transferred here.

1. It helps to have a coaching staff long tern.
2. NIL has only been a thing like 2 years at this point.
3. Cade Mays, Navy Shuler, DeAngelo Gibbs, Andre Turrentine, Gerald Mincey, Javonta Payton, Hendon freakin Hooker... And that's only the last 3 or 4 years.
