Iirc we threw it 39% of the time. Though at a decent volume because of our tempo.


Edit: Just looked it up and while UGA threw it at 42%, a higher rate, overall we passed it 29/game. 10th most attempts/game in the SEC. UGA passed it 27/game, 13th in the SEC.

Just 2 attempts/game difference. But, at least for Tate's FR year, they'll still be heavily feeding their TE. Otherwise, our efficiencies (YPA) are about the same. Though UGA was #1 in the league last year, that discounts HH's shortened season and I think we would be #1 if he had played all year.

Maybe not a big difference either way. I'd feel differently if Monken would leave and UGA would go back to the Kirby way. Our scheme is still much better...they just have so much more talent to skew their offense and production for individual players. For now...

I agree, for the next 2 seasons. Not sure if that's Monken's M.O. or just because they have the best TE in CFB. I'd skew my distributions, as an OC, too for that feller.

And I'd still favor UT because the future is Nico and UGA's future at QB is a long list of question marks. We also go fast and your volume stats here may look better. Not sure how much NFL still looks at that, but wouldn't be surprised lol, so maybe another win.

Nothing inside about it really, Kirby has complained to the media about the NIL that tells me their NIL doesn’t compare. They are recruiting these players on hopes and promises right now that they will get a good NIL deal once they sign which will be considered a gamble when other recruits have deals already on paper. I expect it to bite them in the butt in the near future…
