I'll be surprised if we beat Memphis there

Don't get me wrong I hope the Vols prove me false. Memphis was a crippled team hit hard by the departure of Cal and some players yet they are playing inspired basketball. Tennessee, on the other hand, is playing unmotivated, basically going through the motions. That's a wrong Pearl needs to right.

Memphis had the talent edge over UMass (just as UT will have the edge tomorrow). Rebounding was the difference. UMass played a hell of a game and deserves all the credit. How is that "classless" or not "gracious"? :ermm:

I was referring to the second quote on the insults. It was not "Wrong." that the reason why they lost is because of the strip. UMass may have been close because of the other mitigating factors, but take the strip out of the equation and Memphis wins...don't really think that's wrong. :ermm:

Not really sure what insults you are talking about. It is a FACT that the Tigers were outrebounded by 20. It is a FACT that the Tigers gave up 40+ points in the paint to an inferior opponent. It is a FACT they were beaten to 75% of the 50/50 balls. Against a team with equal or better talent to the Tigers, they lose this game by 20-30 points.

The winning shot came as a result of the strip. However, if the Tigers show up, hustle, and outrebound an inferior opponent like they are supposed to, this game is a 15-20 point Tiger win. UMass should never have been in a position to win at the buzzer. Hopefully, Tigers learned a lesson about intensity and focus, no matter the opponent.

and has put his last 2 schools on probabtion, he is the greatest. I can't wait till he does this to Kensucky, maybe it will be alot worse for them.

...and yet has been exonerated in both cases by the NCAA. I don't disagree with you, but his ability to stay a step ahead and operate in gray areas is impressive. He is a true SOB, especially when he isn't your SOB.

What part of the statement about having 8 scholarship players, 4 of which are legit, is insulting? These are facts. Williams, Mack, Sallie, and Witherspoon are the only players who even resemble the talent we are used to in Memphis. Williams & Mack are the only ones who would start. Kemp lacks confidence and ability to finish at the rim. Coleman and Stephens are pure athletes that are completely raw. Niles can dominate lesser opponents but gets pushed around by equal talent. The rest are walk ons. I am a Memphis season ticket holder and have watched this team with my own eyes. I'm not insulting the team I love, just being realistic.
