Just a heads up, these guys specifically target events that have a high potential for distressed emotions (i.e. funerals) half of the members present will be lawyers. Their only agenda is to incite someone, anyone to take their anger out on them so they can sue the individual.

I doubt they could find a jury anywhere in the country who would award then a cent.

I don't think it was a jury, I think it was a court of appeals and they did not award them money, they made the guy who brought the lawsuit against these morons pay the Phelps' court costs. I could be worng about this, but I believe this is what happened.

I used to do a radio show in Knoxville, and I had one of the crazies on for an interview once. They were protesting at a funeral where a college girl had been killed in a car accident at Auburn University. The girl wasn't even in a sorority, but the WBC people wanted to protest because she was in college (apparently the first college student who had ever died), and they wanted to show their disapproval for the typical college student's sinful ways. What I learned from doing the interview was that it it truly is a waste of time to even think about those nuts. I wish you all good luck in just forgetting about them.
