I'm glad I was right about Woolridge...

Y r people so mad?!? I thought we played way betta then most people expected until the very end. And that was w/ the refs doing their thing that they do at Rupp. Personally, I'm proud of the effort.

With that said... KY will not win it all. They're sloppy in the halfcourt. A team will copy the way the Vols played them and a team like Syracuse or Nova or Kansas or even Mich. St. will beat them...

Haha. Thanks for the reality check. We aren't top five, I understand that. Point in hand is that we were in this ball game until the very end but you seem to be too passionate to hold our team accountable. I don't care who we are playing or what they are ranked, I am disappointed in the fact that we didn't stick to the game plan that brought such success in the first half. You seem kinda humble to get beat by UK by so little. I don't understand that. . .

No worries.

I basically was expecting to lose by a lot more than we did.

I didn't expect to hang in there as long as we did. I have in other posts pointed out several problems, like Woolridge continuing to take terrible shots. Point is, Kentucky has more talent than we do, they should have won by 20 or 30. I think we might have had a slim chance to win if our guys had played a little smarter but "slim" is the important word there.

You're right that it's disappointing to hang in so long and then watch the wheels come off in the closing minutes because we went away from what had worked so well for 30+ minutes. That said, there's no shame in getting beat at Rupp Arena by a team that is significantly better than we are right now.

I respect your honesty. Charge me guilty for being optimistic. I do think we should win every game. I will proudly admit that. I also don't understand Woolridge's shots (or PT at that). It is what it is. I hope we play better next game. Go Vols!!!!

Pearl is getting the most he can out of this team that has no pure shooters and no real post players but Chism. Hopson is the one that is hard to understand. He is one of the laziest defensive players on the team and gives very little effort. Pearl needs to get in his face and tell him to get it together. It is sad to think when he got here some thought he would be one and done. He may not ever be ready for the NBA at this pace. If he would consistently play to the level he can this team could really hold its own.

This is so true. I don't know why we continue to let him make those shots. I understand it when the clock's grinding down but no one should take those 30 second threes, let alone a player so terrible as him.

I really think that if he recognized his failures he could work to improve himself. I don't know him so I have no clue what his mentality is.
