Lived in Borger, TX for 4 years. You have my sympathy. That area is the armpit of the country..."The Panhandle"!

I worked in OKC for 3 months. Northern and eastern parts of the state are better for climate and maybe a little better in other ways.

I've lived a lot of places and visited more than 40 states and a few countries. I can honestly say that OKC is the worst place I have ever lived. It is dusty and dirty. The weather in general stinks in all seasons.... and the people are the least friendly I've found outside of maybe Seattle. It is also an ugly city.

I can't think of a single redeeming thing about OKC.

It may be. My time in Tulsa was limited. The people still weren't friendly though. The greenest and prettiest part of the state is the Cherokee Nation IMO.
