That's Symptoms

You can only watch the 98 win over Florida State, the Comeback in the Bayou, or the Miracle in South Bend so many times before you go nanners (that's bananas for you Yankees or West Coastians like Milo).

I have watched most of the spring games, 2 or 3 times on CSS.

Now, I'm actually beginning to enjoy Arena football.

I mean, it is football in the rudimental term of things.

But, in that long, lonesome span between the Super Bowl, and actually, if you're a college football purist like me, I don't even get that excited over the Titans, though I consider myself a fan, but it's just not the same, so what do you guys, and gals do when you begin to go into delirium tremors from a lack of Big Orange. (That's probably one of the worst constructed sentences I've ever penned, but I blame it on my withdrawals.)

Please help, my hands are shaking as I type. And no, before Hat makes this about Parkinson's, it's not. I do know the difference.

Unless you fought Foreman and Frazier, it's a little early for Parkinson's.

I used to get a weekend fix this time of year from NFL Europe. Now all of that is on the NFLchannel and my cable does not get that.
So I substitute with single malt scotch...

My old girlfriend slapped me a few times; do you reckon that would have any effect?

She had a pretty good left.

Plus, in my day, we were taught to lead with the helmet. I can still hear the coaches saying, “Put your hat on ‘em.” I always did what I was told in those days, but I outgrew it.

Given his often stated love for order and rules, I seriously doubt the Ancient One is going to "Fight the Man."

God forbid we have "Order and rules."

Anarchy is a far better option. :fool:

Play Golf, play college football on xbox, or do extra activities with my wife. That's how I usually fix my withdrawals.

I'm going to guess that OldVol doesn't play a whole lot of Xbox football.

Anarchy's a bit much. General upheaval will suffice.

Can we start on your block? Nothing major of course, a little looting, we'll burn down a few capitalistic mélanges like gas stations or convenience stores. That evil mixture of cheap tobacco and horrid fossil fuels must go. Someone else can bring a picnic lunch. It'll be a great time all around.

Just tell us where you live and you supply the torches.

Considering the season we just had, remember the old saying, "Time heals all wounds".Well, maybe time is our friend considering this past season. :biggrin2:If you don't follow baseball,Nascar, even the NBA, it can make for a long off season sports wise. But there is life outside of sports as Kiddiedoc pointed out.

I love capitalism. Most of the institutions I attack are antagonistic to market principles. The NCAA, to choose one of my favorite targets, doesn't allow those creating the commodity to share in the profits of the enterprise. When Adrian Peterson starts getting his cut of the jerseys he makes marketable through his exploits, I'll quit blasting the 'AA. Now, if you want to plan some guerilla action against the Gestapo heaquarters in Indy, I'm in.
