I'd just hope you'd treat your new Vol with a little more respect. He was a hell of a Tiger, and he'll be an awesome player in orange. He really is a genuinely awesome kid; he played his tail off in Memphis and harbors no ill-feelings for his time as a Tiger, and he deserves better from you. There's no need to put words in his mouth just to take an underhanded swipe at Memphis. You can do that without putting making stuff up.

But Josh Pastner is God.

How is he disrespecting him? He simply said he didn't feel like he was getting enough playing time which is true. Why else would he transfer if that wasn't he case?

Antonio has never said that. He transferred for more playing time, plain and simple. Not because he felt like the Memphis staff wasn't giving him a "fair shake". He's here in Knoxville now, why don't you guys ask him.

It's not fair to the kid to attribute statements to him that he never made just to try to stir up some animosity with his old school. It does a disservice to Barton, just stick to the facts.

The starting line-up is a dream team and is a force to be reckoned with this year. Look out SEC, here come the Vols. Look forward to seeing this unit play and see a good point guard running the team.

There is no reason that the Vols shouldn't win 25+ games this year and make the big dance.

He's an amazing player and will be an elite scorer this season. That doesn't mean he's a leader though, and that shouldn't be a knock on him.

Where has it been established McRae isn't a leader?

There are all styles of leadership. I suspect McRae demonstrates at least one.

And you know that how? Because he's not vocal on the court he's not a leader? You do know that you can be a leader by example going out on the court and doing right? It's more than just on the court. From what I've seen from twitter and other things he's taken the freshman Hubbs specifically under his wing. You're just posting to be posting. He was arguably our biggest leader last year.

I've watched him play for three years and this is just my personal opinion. Not every player is a leader, and not every player needs to be one. He'll be a senior this season, so maybe I've just overlooked his leadership qualities.

When you talk about leaders on last year's squad, I think of Maymon, even though he was injured. I didn't think of McRae. Y'all are welcome to disagree though.

You're welcome to your own opinion. Jordan is one of my favorite Vols, but I just didn't see what you did last season. Doesn't change the fact that he's gonna dominate this year.

Like I said being a leader is more than about being vocal. You can lead by example. Why it really matters I don't know.

If somebody can't see, or claims to not be able to see that McRae is clearly at the very least the emotional leader of UT's teams then are they really worth convincing? IMO

I totally agree. I just can't see that by sitting in TBA or watching on TV. Maybe his senior year he'll show some more vocal leadership on the court.

If Pastner had half the leadership skills McRae has, you can bet Memphis would have more than one win against a top 25 team.
