People exploit the hell out of their own flesh and blood kids all the time. Just because they've subsequently capitalized on the situation doesn't mean that there was anything slimy about their motivations earlier on when they took him in.

The only thing about the Mike Oher story that bothers me is the fact that Sandra Bullock is in that movie. That is the sole reason I will never watch that movie.
