March 7th-8th, my family and I will be traveling to Fort Leonard Wood Army base.
(4.5 hour drive for us-no big deal)
My little brother graduated the USMC about 2 months ago and is now stationed there for school. (AIT-chemical/biological warfare)
He lives in Southern California and I've only seen him twice. Once when he was 18 months old and again when he turned 6. He turns 19 the weekend we are there.
For such a young man he has accomplished a lot. He had academic schollys from various schools but choose to serve his country. He was honored by the Eagle Scouts for his remarkable achievements as well. He recieved 4 historical medals totaling 131.
I know to some this isn't a "cool story bro" but to me, it is. I will also be taking him some Vol gear. I plan on reciting him and a couple of his southern cal buddies to our beloved Big Orange.
