I'm sorry to all the Dems out there...

Not trying to be argumentative, but this is a little hard to figure. You are a Republican and you watch CNN and MSNBC but you've never watched FNC because they are accused of being slanted to the right by media that you know to be slanted to the left?

I was always told Fox's right slant made CNN and MSNBC look like angels. What I watched last night confirmed it for me.

No 2 ways of looking at it... Hannity is unapologetically ultra-conservative. That's no secret. I dont watch Fox often but I enjoy O'Reilly's commentary from time to time. He's been accused of being too liberal and too conservative depending on his topic of the night. He's not as over the top as Hannity or Olberman and has done verbal Judo with Olberman on many occasions. Whether or not he's fair and balanced is the listener's point of view but he makes a better attempt at it moreso than others in broadcast journalism IMO.

but to pretend that Hannity is remotely as obnoxious as Olberman is just absurd. Olberman is the most obnoxious of all the politics commentators and isn't as bright as ay of the other people in the debate.

Finally, why in the hell are you apologizing to the left. They've had an unopposed run for the entirety of broadcast media and none of them have to watch Fox. Hell, I'm a conservative and don't watch Fox.

I admit it. I have FNC on in the morning as I'm getting ready for work. But only for Megyn Kelly. :)

I watch Fox but primarily the evening news program with Britt Hume and Fox News Sunday. There is a right slant to this programming but no more than the left slant of similar programs on other outlets.

By watching both views I can get a better feel for where the story may actually lie.

He's basing it on watch it one time, yet watches the other networks and doesn't bash them. Like everyone has said, Hannity makes no bones about his leanings, but they have Colmes on the same show.

Like I told TennNC, it's getting to the point of being an urban legend.

here's what I know. I spent four years studying about broadcast journalism. I've written in newspapers and I've worked for a news station. Do the major news stations lean slightly one or the other? Absolutely, and yes, typically left. But I've watched Olbermann, Matthews and several others but I have never in my life watched someone get away with butchering the facts the way Hannity did last night.

Don't even start to pretend to think I don't know how the news industry works. I'd put my knowledge against anyone on here. There was nothing on Hannity's show last that deserved to be on any news channel save letting us know that Obama was resigning from his church.

Just because you went to school doesn't give you ultimate judgement on all things news, if you don't like it, that's your right and your opinion. I disagree with it, and I'm not sure how Hannity is butchering the facts, but
to act like you know more than anyone else is absurd at best. All of the media leans left except for Fox, talk radio and certain blogs.

Hannity is the second most obnoxious ass on the planet, the first being Ann Coulter. That being said, I am sure if I weren't a liberal I wouldn't like Keith Olbermann too much either.

now you're being disingenuous. To say that you have never seen Keith Olbermann get away with butchering facts, to quote Captain Barbossa from "Pirates of the Caribbean", strains credulity.

I'm beginning to believe you're what Limbaugh would call a "seminar caller". A person who calls his show claiming to be a republican then proceeds to slam republicans.

At least now I know it wasn't personal.

Chin up Bill, there are a few people here you aren't allowed to disagree with.

but you just said, in this quote, that the other broadcasters lean 'slightly' left. That's just not remotely true, but the advent of Fox has helped the other guys become a tad less ridiculous in their slant.

It all depends on your perspective.

I wonder what people think the balance of obnoxiousness btwn the right and left is on AM radio.

Thanks to that Leftist, Rupert Murdoch.

So you feel the need to apologize to the dems because an admitted republican media type slants his views to the right? Hmmm...that is deep stuff there.

clearly, Murdoch, Buffet, Soros and the like are bright enough to correctly keep their political views completely removed from their business decision making process.

The difference in all of this is the actual SHOW you are watching. When you watch Studio B or anything that actually shows the news of the day on Fox. It is VERY centric. There is nothing (intentionally) left or right about it. If you are watching Hannity and Colmes, it is Political Commentary. Chris Wallace is political commentary too. He is also a card carrying member of the democratic party.
Now, if you look at the actual news of CNN, ABC, NBC and ESPECIALLY CBS, the news of the day is slanted left and in some cases, far left.
