I know we have a kick ace recruiting class, but look at the schedule, and we are going to be playing even more freshmen? I just dont get it...

I am hopeful but like to be realistic also...

Oklahoma will be a loss. I think it will come down to again to beating Vandy on the road in order to get to a bowl.

Someone with common sense. Don't see that very often on here. I just hope ferguson is good since the other 3 qbs don't look like they will be a game changer and we didn't recruit one this year.

Hopefully this tweet from a Vandy player will motivate someone this off season

Vandy DE Caleb Azubike. MT @VandyKid_55: Sorry UT Tried To Warn Y'all. We Own The State!!! Maybe Next Time. Have Fun At Home This Christmas.

It's going to be a long road back and many of us don't have the stomach for how long this is going to take, but we have to stay committed to coach. Realistically, our legacy class will probably be juniors before we are seeing true success.

Wouldn't have motivated ANY of our 28 seniors to do anything. Hopefully the systemic losers mentality leaves with them and we actually have some football players ready to go next year. Right now, not holding my breath.

You should be concerned, next year is going to be worse. We will have no QB, we will have no OL and will still try to run the same 3 plays we run now!

Dobbs played bad today (low throws, INTs) but no need to count out his career. He is a true freshman….he will get better.

Next year might be more of the same. Prepare yourself. We will be young again in most all positions.

We lose nearly all of our linemen on both sides of the ball. And while many have complained about this group of veteran offensive linemen, anybody who thinks our OL will be better next year is delusional. We will be LUCKY if next year's OL is three-quarters as good as this one. Our DL will not be as good, either--and our passing game will probably still sux. Next year will not be good.

If it takes tweets from Vanderbilt to motivate us, then we have sunk to a level of horse sh*t that I am not familiar with.

When you can schedule 4 guaranteed wins a year, there is no reason we should go 3 years without a bowl game.

Nobody is asking for a 10 win season, just a bowl game!

I'm not buying this lame "it takes time" excuse.

Midway through this season I was worried about next year now not so much. This team is regressing for whatever reason. O-line is below average and senior laden. I want to see what CBJ can build once we have some depth with his classes.

If that's what it takes to motivate this team, then they should all lose their scholarships and the whole staff should be run out of town.

It's only going to get worse next year when the entire OL and DL must be replaced.

It's going to be tough...And people will complain and whine and cry and want the coach fired all the while he is kicking a$$ recruiting and getting us better players that will need time to acclimate to college ball but this fanbase will not see that, they will see us losing again and ***** and moan all the while we are getting better and better...CBJ has to get his players here to make a difference and give them time to develop...Until then I suggest many of you not even bother coming to the boards because it will look like most of you will need to be put on suicide watch.

The quicker these seniors graduate and move on the better. Their leadership is questionable. They have simply "learned to lose". I have no doubt we will be better next year. Our new recruiting class will help us turn the corner. Go Vols!

I'm not a fire Butch guy but if he can't help improve current players what makes you think he can coach up others? That question has to be asked. This program is an absolute dumpster fire, we can't afford another place holder coach. Either Butch is the guy or we're irrelevant for the next decade if not more.

So far I'm not encouraged. I honestly don't believe Butch can hold a top 15 class together, if he does it will be a huge accomplishment.

Most agree we need 3 amazing recruiting years to get back competing in the SEC. Here is my question...
Yes, we have a phenomenal class incoming who totally bought into CBJ. That's fantastic. However, IF we do not improve next year (I don't think we will substantially with the schedule we play) HOW will we continue to recruit at the level that we MUST to be competitive once CBJ's slogans and hype are all gone? Am I the only one who doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel? I feel like we are in an endless cycle here...

Outside of paying them, he won't be able to hold the class together.
