Im very concerned about next year

It's a hard pill to swallow but it's honestly hard to foresee being good anytime soon. Tonight set us back badly imo.

Most agree we need 3 amazing recruiting years to get back competing in the SEC. Here is my question...
Yes, we have a phenomenal class incoming who totally bought into CBJ. That's fantastic. However, IF we do not improve next year (I don't think we will substantially with the schedule we play) HOW will we continue to recruit at the level that we MUST to be competitive once CBJ's slogans and hype are all gone? Am I the only one who doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel? I feel like we are in an endless cycle here...

Recruiting will be fine. He has his signature win against the probable SEC East champs. Recruits can notice and analyze a lot more than 99% of the people on here.

Endless cycle would be easily broken by comeptent coaching. Just show improvement and the recruits will come.

I know we have a kick ace recruiting class, but look at the schedule, and we are going to be playing even more freshmen? I just dont get it...

I am hopeful but like to be realistic also...

Just now worried?

You should be concerned, next year is going to be worse. We will have no QB, we will have no OL and will still try to run the same 3 plays we run now!

This is exactly what I was thinking.
We lose our entire lo and have no offensive play calling. This is what scares me most

We need to find a freakin' QB who can ball--and get a freakin' passing game. You can't win with our junior-high passing game, not to mention our weak defense. Defense played well tonight against a mediocre team but hasn't been good for most of the year.

You should be concerned. Butch appears to be way more talk than substance. I'll see what he does next year, but it's really looking like he won't cut it in the SEC with that high school offense.

Wouldn't have motivated ANY of our 28 seniors to do anything. Hopefully the systemic losers mentality leaves with them and we actually have some football players ready to go next year. Right now, not holding my breath.

amen..brotha...amen

Next year is going to be just as bad, if not worse than this one. It will be 2016 before we have any real expectation of seeing results from Jones' recruiting and coaching. Unfortunately in that time UT football is going to suffer, and who knows what attendance numbers and fan support are going to be like with as many losing seasons as we have

The defensive line played well tonight, but the secondary was still terrible. Jancek didn't help by having them give Vandy's receivers 10+ yards of cushion on every pass play.
