We let one slip away and it hurts. But this team over achieved and played hard. With coach Martin at the Helm, Tennessee basketball has a very bright future.

Good year guys now let's see what we can do in the NIT.

GO VOLS!!!

It was a good season.

We're going to start a new NCAA tourney streak next year.

I said after LSU everything was gravy. I'm sad about the result, but they overachieved this season.

Proud of the guys, hard fought game, lost by 5 in OT and a bad call there at the end. GBO!

And your point in this particular thread is....?

I'll make any point at any time I choose, but I made it here because the guy that started the thread picks at Dooley for every mistake and would have bashed the **** out of him if he would have made the same coaching errors that occured tonight.

stat that stood out to me was 35 paint points by OLE MISS to Tennessee's 12. THAT IS HORRIBLE. I don't care how you chalk it up, x's and o's, whatever, we flat out stunk tonight. Whether motivated or not, we choked our way out of the field of 68. Before tonight, I thought our team deserved a shot. Before tonight that is. We played horrendous against a mediocre team at best. NIT.. psshht, we deserve it.

I'm proud of the overall body of work, but tonight we had a chance to prove ourselves. All we proved is that we are young and not ready to step up when the spotlight is on us. Damn, what a let down.

So? He makes a good thread. No need to bring up the football team or Dooley here.

Kind of a shame to be playing so well and it all goes for naught.

JM didn't have a good game tonight. Mc3 stepped up, hit some big shots. Hate to see it end up like this.

Imo, the vols overachieved after they beat UF the first time. Tonight was just not their night.

I agree, I never thought we even had a chance to sniff the NCAA tourney until we beat Vandy. But now we are where I thought we would be. I just hope out guys go out, play hard, and get better, that's what its really about at this point.

Give a little credit to Kennedy. Knew we stunk against the zone and played it 40 minutes.
I'm sad about the loss but more than satisfied with the season.
We'll be a much better team next season.

Agree, makes Stallings, Donovan and several other SEC coaches look pretty inpet for playing man to man defense against us this year. It's obvious this team doesn't have a clue how to attack a zone. I hate to say it but it will probably cause us to have a fairly quick exit in the NIT as well because most mid-majors are going to play a zone defense against us.

(Like a true Vol fan does) I listened to the radio (Vol Network) while watching the game.
Immediately after the game, my radio station switched over to the Vandy Network, so I didn't get to hear any post game comments from the team.
What was CCM's thoughts on the game?
The blown call?
I know he can't say much about the officiating (though I know he would Love to).

Look, as Calban stated, Ole Miss's 2-3 zone destroyed our offensive fluidity. It was amazing we took it to OT IMO the way the game went. The not only played zone almost the entirity of the game, but they sagged and dared us to shoot from outside. In order to make them extend we NEEDED to hit consistently from the outside and we couldn't get the open shots to fall from outside. Ole Miss had a great gameplan and did not even need to make any adjustments due to that inability to hit open 3's. The season isn't over, we should host a couple NIT games and hopefully can get the MSG and play a few more games. Go Vols!!! V, B!!!

We ain't gonna do **** until we learn how to attack a 2-3 zone. How do you spend 40 minutes and not get a damn bit better at it? Freaking rediculous. We had the NCAA tourney at our hands and we got smoked in the lane by a team that got beat by 30 to Candybilt.
