I am very proud of this team and Coach Martin- they played hard all year long and had some really exciting games in the latter part of the season. No regrets- some nights, the shots just dont go in. Still, they showed a lot of heart and grit and they did better than most thought they would. Just wait till next year when Stokes will be even stronger and better. Should be a top- 20 team. Congrats Coach Martin .

It was a very good year. CM took over a mess and exceeded all of our wildest expectations. There's a reason everyone had us 11. I think it's a shame every Vol fan can't at least heap a little praise on a team that goes out and surprises everyone with a very good year.

I agree bro. But not everyone has a brain. Atleast they don't know how to use it.

Only losing Tatum and Swiperboy :) Go Vols...and maybe Hall.

Who's Hall? As far as I'm concerned , he can hit the road. Just another underachieving 4* player IMO. Soft and obviously a trouble maker. Much rather see Makanjoula play next year than Hall.

Hall would have made a huge difference in the game and especially in overtime when Maymon fouled out.

There's not enough room on this site to post every mistake your hero makes.
But you coming on this thread and posting this shows how far you have your head up his a$$.
Come talk to me when the entire world thinks Dooley over achieves at ANYTHING. Well anything excepts staff turnover in a single season.

Cuonzo did a wonderful coaching job this year. That being said, you continue to use the word overachieve as if that is what the team did this year. This team didn't overachieve. It has talent. It was just really inexperienced. I think what you saw was a really good job of getting the guys to play up to their potential, which none of them had done before this season.

It's a nice thread and all. Certainly Cuonzo is a good coach and a keeper. You, however, know less about basketball than you do football and should really do yourself a favor by choosing not to post unless you have a clue about the subject

You're just so wrong. The sad part is you don't realize it. You actually think you're right. Sad, sad, sad.

Not sure what they achieved to be considered overachievers? I didn't expect them to make the tournament and they didn't! If this was football they would be sitting at home now like the football team. Just saying...

Hopefully they'll do better next year!

Teams projected to finish 11th in a league generally don't make the NIT. Just saying...wait, I despise that tired, stupid expression. Scratch that.

Not sure what the last sentence even means.

I find it hilarious who started this thread and the 2nd poster that follows up. It's like they're trying to vindicate themselves for the chronic bashing of CDD. That's what's truly sad. I very much hope CDD succeeds so badly now so both of these jokers will be permanently shamed and laughed off this site. Of course, even if he wins 9 or 10 games, that still won't be enough.
