Imagine if Bone + Williams stayed for senior years

Yes, most people attend events they've already paid for.

Keep digesting double digit beatdowns and he will change that.
Why do you sound like the battered girl who continually returns to her abusive boyfriend? If Tennessee basketball and Rick Barnes brings you so much pain, find something else to do with your life. No one is forcing you to watch, nor are you being forced to be a fan. Take your valuable time and loyalty to someone that will value and cherish it since Rick Barnes clearly can't please you. You never give him or the team any credit when they play well. The only time I see you post is when you show up to moan and complain when adversity comes. Kentucky probably needs some fans. Maybe Duke or Michigan State. See if one of them can satisfy you since Tennessee clearly cannot.

Jealousy is a terrible thing. Ignorance is a terrible thing. Constant negativity is a terrible thing. When these are combined, it would describe certain posters on this forum. You don't have to speak up. Everyone knows of whom I speak.

It's amazing to me how much people really don't seem to like Barnes and take the bashing to a new level. Like in a "I have to make sure I say this almost every thread" level.

Bone is having a great year in the G-League and has spent some time up on the main club. So he's still playing basketball and getting paid a nice salary to do it. Can't blame him for leaving. Especially if he disliked classroom work a much as reported.

Poster boy for the "what have you done for me lately" crowd. Not much to work with right now. Get back to me at the end of the season like any reasonable and INFORMED fan

Being critical, when someone deserves it, bothers you.

That's a you problem. Doubt you'll ever resolve it.

Also, defense is effort. If it is better at the end of the season, then as I said, he is sucking right now.

We'll see wont we. Right now he is coaching a pathetic offensive team that gives piss poor effort on defense. He owns this. Maybe he spent too much time playing footsie with UCLA.
Barnes spends a ton of time in your head.

Questioning Barnes' work ethic is remarkably ignorant

It sure is when you are never positive when things are going well. You are one of those posters that either disappears during the good times or finds something microscopic to nitpick because it is your only option, and then during the tough times, you feel justified in your outrage because Tennessee basketball and Barnes, particularly, have caused such enormous grief. You never just outright applaud Barnes for anything he does positive. It is always qualified or attached with an asterisk, or just totally ignored because “he should do that for $5 million”.

It hurt us for sure, but Grant had to go. He landed in the absolute perfect situation in Boston and he's now making millions of dollars. Bone leaving was the real killer, but he's doing well in the G-League and some people just don't like school. He probably felt he could improve just as much over a year in the G-League (and get paid, not attend classes) rather than come back for a year to college.

It's an incredibly frustrating season thus far, but it's hard to get too upset with guys doing what's best for themselves and their future. I don't envy Barnes' current situation but he has to do better as well. The fault is on the players and coaches currently in Knoxville, not on Grant and Jordan.

Bone also was drafted by a team that plans to use him in the future on the NBA roster. I don’t blame him or Grant at all, nobody should.

I really would like to hear an honest explanation from Bone on the whole decision. I'm not upset about it, and I support his decision; it's just hard to for me to see the benefit of leaving at that time vs. this coming draft.

I have no idea but if I were him and saw the numbers of what we were gonna be losing from last year(besides his own numbers) the door wouldn’t have a chance to hit me I’d be gone so fast. He can avoid any kind of serious injury, keep developing and get paid a modest wage to do it.
He could have balled out this year and been a 1st rounder, but lottery was never gonna happen, so getting an early start on his first contract extension is more important. jmo

I see what you're saying, but in my mind, the ball out/first round scenario is worth the down year. Of course, no one knew it was going to be this far down. So it may have been for the best anyway. I think he'll be a capable NBA PG; maybe even a starter at some point.

Last year was the year if there ever was one. Too bad.
