Breaking Bad would be my number one.

I don't know where it is on the list but North America that just finished on Discovery Channel was really good.

I'm surprised to see Nick's Avatar in there so high. I agree that it should be there, as it's a great show, just surprised it made the list that high. Shyamalan (sp?) butchered the movie, but the show is awesome.

I don't really care for tv dramas, im more of a sitcom person. Or Swamp People and Duck Dynasty.

I also like Parks and Recreation, it should be on there.

Dear God man...the sitcom is all but dead.

Some of the best writing ANYWHERE is on shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Wire (God I loved that show), and GoT...albeit to a slightly lesser extent than the others.

I think Arrested Development is the only sitcom I've really enjoyed over the last decade...he new ones notwistanding.

Seriously though...Breaking Bad and The Wire are two of the best written shows ever.

Watch. Them. You're doing yourself a disservice by not...and Bryan Cranston as Walter White in BB rivals any acting performance anywhere.

Good current sitcoms that come to mind:

Workaholics
South Park
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrested Development
Parks & Rec
Wilfred
Veep
Louis

Honorable mention:
New Girl - it's been highly recommended to me, and I watched the first two episodes and thought it was decent.

Aaron Paul as Jesse is just as good as Bryan Cranston in my opinion.

I just bought seasons 1-5 1/2 on DVD. I'm researching the full series. I've noticed stuff on the DVDs that I didn't see the first time around. They have included extended or deleted scenes on the DVDs.

I enjoy the high ness of South Park, Cowboy Bebop, Death note, etc.

But some of these shows? #1 is hilariously bad. Sherlock should not be there.

House not on this list? Blasphemous.

Cosby Show at 358. Little House on the Prairie at 475. The Andy Griffith Show doesn't even have enough votes to qualify, but would fall in the 190-200 range.

Dumb list is dumb.

Meh.

Curb is on hiatus for years in between seasons, but it's by FAR the best one on that list. Arrested Development had the best season (2) but season 3 was somewhat weak and the new ones feel like a completely different show--and why is Seth Rogan and Kristen Wigg on there??

Heard good things about Workaholics just haven't watched.

Also...there's a huge difference between a network sitcom and something HBO does.

Not in my opinion. Cranston's performance is masterful...he's genuinely scary as White when he dons the black pork pie hat.

I think sorting by MOVIEmeter gives a more accurate list. It uses algorithms based on what people look at the most on their website instead of number of votes/rating given. The top 10 would then look like this:

1. Game of Thrones
2. Breaking Bad
3.True Blood
4.Hannibal
5.Dexter
6.Big Bang Theory
7.The Walking Dead
8.Revolution
9.Mad Men
10.How I Met Your Mother

Although top 10 lists like these are pointless because almost eveyone is going to have a different list. For instance 6 of those wouldn't be in my top 10.

Totally agree. I resisted watching Parks and Rec forever. I pretty much stick to FX, AMC, Comedy Central, and the premium channels.
