Impact Freshmen for 2013

If Worley wins the job this year then he will start until he leaves barring major regression or injury. Its not good for the team to flip flop, especially considering that Worley will be a 4th year senior in 2014.

Agreed. If Worley starts, expect to see Peterman in a Tebow type role during his Freshman year at Florida.

IMO Peterman's impact will be his competition for the job. I do think he will have plays as well as Dobbs but JW will be the starter.

:good!:

I was at SportsFest in Nashville this morning where Butch spoke. He said "remember the name Paul Harris." Spoke really highly of him and you could tell by his demeanor he believes this kid is going to be great.

We need Carr and Miller to come in and develop quickly, plus it would not hurt if redshirt freshman Danny boy to be ready to play.

So let's talk about Immediate impact Freshmen.

Marquez North will undoubtedly be asked to contribute early on, with the big void left by Hunter and crew. Paul Harris also looks to be physically ready to get snaps right away, and we will need him, too.

Woody Quin is a little unheralded, but his size, 6'6"
260, makes him a sure bet to get on the field right away with us being thin at TE.

Jaylen Miller DE had 27 sacks, and with getting to the QB a weak spot for us last year, he will have a chance to get early PT and in a position that can be of a difference for us in '13.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin could certainly help us in the D backfield, as well as Lemond Johnson. Both are super athletic and physically ready to handle the rigors of SEC ball as true freshmen.

And if we need help in the return game, I just have a feeling about Malik Foreman as being a guy who could surprise a lot of people if given a chance. He just seems like such a gamer, and is crazy elusive with the ball in his hands.

Who else do you think will be players in 2013?

Jason Carr and Riyadh Jones- I know Jones isn't a frosh but I kinda think of his as one since this'll be his first year with us. Obviously North and I also like Harris at WRs. If the hype we hear about Jabo Lee is true, he should have impact as well. Pulling for JRM to be big too.

What is Reeves-Maybin supposed to play? I know he was a pretty hyped up player, but his forty is like 4.8

Safety that could eventually grow into a linebacker much like Alec Ogletree for UGA. Also, that 4.8 is outdated. Recently been in the low 4.5 range. He had also had a very good showing at the opening this summer.

The Opening: Best of the defense on Day one

I don't think any of these players will be "immediate impact" like CP was... home your expectations.

At BEST, 2 of these guys will play more than 50% of the snaps. At BEST.

Honestly the coach's dont even know that so definitely none of us can say at best on who will get alot of snaps. But I will be willing to bet its more than 2.

I belive Meredith is going to be pretty good if he's healthy, so I'm willing to say he starts over Quinn who IMO is nothing more then an emergency back up TE. I also believe Justin King will play FB/TE as well if he's not moved to LB, which I don't think he will be. As for the original OP post I believe Vereen and Harris will be our two best freshman this year. I think Carr will get a lot of PT and so Will North. JRM will also see the field a lot since we missed on Bell and Randolph is coming off a serious injury. I also expect to see the new staff put Brewer at LB and see how he does in spring practice due to our lack of depth at LB.

:good!: Say, how do you guys think CBJ will use TE's in his system...I mean, I dont remember anything I have watched that makes me even remember them on his teams!
