We have a brutal schedule, but I will feel much better knowing we have a coach that know's when to call time-out, and when not to. And we will have coaches that know you can't play 13 men on defense to try and win a ball game.

I'm ALL VOL. For life.

And I can't WAIT for spring practice!!

I agree...when we hired Dooley my expectations were high and i found myself continuously making excuses because i wanted to believe that he would eventually wright the proverbial ship. Not until i went to the USCjr game this year did i finally have to say that i could do it no longer. I too will wait and see. I'm not a negavol im just saying.

Really enjoyed your analysis of the zone blocking scheme. I played in a zone blocking scheme in high school and can vouch for its simplicity, it makes man blocking seem impossible in comparison . Do you coach somewhere right now. You seem really knowledgeable.

The Roster is in worse shape and the schedule is tougher, however I have confidence these guys can actually coach. Hoping for 6-6 and a team that gets better each week and builds momentum into year 2.

Eastern NC. High school. I was at the same place as Juco Dt Reed his jr year.

I plan on reviving that thread soon.

our expectation should be 7-6 with a bowl win. the program needs to stop the bleeding and show signs of life again.

2013 will look much like 2012 I'm afraid....the Vols have the least amount of talent that I can remember....scary....the Western Ky game will probably confirm the talent level to most fans

I don't think we can get much worse on D. Just gotta hope the O comes together quick. I think we will be ok. Still gonna be tough to win 7 games with our schedule.
