The Tennessee Volunteers fought with Andrew Jackson at the battle of New Orleans and Sam Houston and David Crockett participated in war and were Tennessee Volunteers. Why don't we get us a big freaking cannon and fire that sucker off when we score! I like the fireworks for sure. Maybe come up with a "Smokey" mix of dog howls. A section of recliners would be pretty Tennessee-ish. Just kidding folks.

Before the north end of Neyland was enclosed, back in the olden days, there was a giant orange and white interlocking UT on the side of the hill, and there was a cannon near the northeast corner that fired when scoring occured. Legend has it that the artillery crew was prone to get into the barrel too hard and commit some severe safety violations... but that could just be legend.
