I have really enjoyed watching him play in the tournament this year.

17 points, 18 rebounds (8 offensive), 5 assists today

Just an awesome display, and showing great hustle.

Lottery pick? Where is he going to play in the NBA? He doesn't have a perimeter game and he's too short to be a big.

I would love to see him in the NBA but I don't see a fit.

Who does he compare to in the league?

I agree, would love to see it, but where?

His individual workouts wil be big. But who will want to workout against Stokes?

He'll get invited to the combine I'm sure. There he can make his mark. He'll test off the charts in every category. Height remains to be seen, but you can't teach rebounding.

He's not too short. I'm not going to explain this again. I'm sure someone will

Unless you have some insider NBA knowledge what good is your explanation? How many 6'8" NBA players are there that can't shoot from the outside?

Stokes is stepping up his game big time and for that he should be commended.

37 mpg...that's just crazy for as hard as he plays. If I were a big on an opposing team, I wouldn't sleep well the night before I had to face him.

Idc how tall he is. His rebounding is unmatched and will get him in the league. He can run the floor just as well. He'll develop a consistent jump shot and be fine. He's not going to be a superstar but he damn for sure has a place in the league.

He's similar to a Sullinger in size and game. Sullinger has improved but I'm still not sure he's producing like a 1st round pick. With that said, if he can maintain a roster spot I think Stokes can too. Lottery pick? Highly doubt it.

Stokes is using everything he's got to advantage in the college game. But most if not all those advantages disappear at the NBA level.

Stokes will never draw a double-team in the NBA. He will be guarded by someone of the same weight, +6 inches in height, +10 inches in reach, and +12 inches jumping.

Even as a rebounder, his body/height/hops work against him. Compare Stokes to a great rebounder/defender like The Worm. Rodman was quick enough to defend a guard, but long at 6'8", stronger than his 235 lbs would indicate, and a leaper. Phil Jackson called him the greatest athlete he ever coached.

When Stokes mentioned football, that was a serious career consideration. The difference between being a freak and being a tweener is often simply a choice of which sport.

--- quick edit: too negative ---
Stokes is amazing with his brute strength and delicate touch with the ball. Never seen anyone like him in that way. He's smart, mature, self-disciplined--everything you'd want in a player or a son.

My point is that in basketball he's a freak at this level, but a tweener at the next. In the NFL (if he could learn enough of that sport's special skills soon enough) he could be a freak there.

I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe Randle at UK is close, but he hasn't been as dominating. The kid at Kansas that was hurt is pretty good too.

Randle leads the nation in double doubles, which I believe Stokes tied today. So I'd say he's been just as good.

Barkley was listed at 6'6", but most believe he was closer to 6'4". But a much better leaper than Stokes

Charles Barkley is definitely taller than 6'4". I stood right beside him in January, and he was certainly taller than my 6'4" brother. Legit 6'6".
