Yep. It's basically Chick-fil-A for hamburgers. There are several In-N-Outs in my area and my take is that it's a good burger that I always enjoy but I never understood the highly devoted following (or the crazy long lines).
It's certainly a step above any of the Wendy's/BK/McD-type places, and that's where it seems to slot itself, like a straightup fast food/drive-thru joint, so it's a bit of a bad comparison to put it up against places that present as more "gourmet burger" fast-food spots.
I will say, I've always felt they would do well in the southeast. Old-school look and vibe, simple burger-fries offering with customer service emphasis, little hidden scripture callouts on the bottoms of the cups and containers, it all seems kinda southern.
Cept they want to induce “starving” by buying up farms and cutting off cattle and poultry as protein sources.
You buy industries to shut down so you can offer alternatives that YOU CONTROL? It’s not coming from a good place. It’s GOD INC without the silly divinity.Developing alternatives is different from “cutting off”.
Big Agriculture has been buying up farms for decades. Bill “only” has 250,000 acres. That’s not a lot for one of the wealthiest people on the planet. And a lot of that acreage is probably owned by the BMG Foundation.

Don't know how it is any more but back when I was a young wizard and lived in Los Angeles for a time, I can tell you that In-and-Out was a darn fine burger and fries. Granted that was before 5 guys and others that have come up more recently but certainly IaO has a reason for its rep
So what's the difference with In 'n Out & other burgers? A fried hunk of meat on bread. Somebody enlighten me.
Lot of humanitarian evils come from a good place. Communist dictatorships stemmed from treating EVERYONE equally...but the superiors had to be in charge and couldn't stand in bread lines. Gates is buying up land here in America and in Europe and a major force in restricting regular agriculture. All part of The Greater Good, I know. I don't trust bored multi-billionaires who know what's best for everyone else and love the poofy self-important defenders even more...no offense. Nice misdirection with the smarmy Happy Meal comment.Gates doesn’t have a Dr Evil plan. His motives are to address major worldwide humanitarian issues. He’s working to keep millions from starving to death. By feeding them crickets if it’s a solution. He’s not going to take away your Happy Meal.
Supposedly the simplicity and freshness of the product is a level above. Wasn't overwhelmed in previous forays, but I'm going to give them another swing out of respect for my California born devotee spouse.Don't know how it is any more but back when I was a young wizard and lived in Los Angeles for a time, I can tell you that In-and-Out was a darn fine burger and fries.
