To me, it's not even guys getting away from Pearl. It's Pearl completely ignoring them. Here's a list of guys Pearl never extended an offer to (at least according to Rivals):

Cory Stanton - Springfield (3* SG Clemson)
Jalen Steele - Knoxville (3* SG Miss St.)
Austin Hollins - Memphis (3* SG Minnesota)
Michael Bradley - Chattanooga (3* C UConn)
2009:
John Jenkins - Gallatin (5* SG Vandy)
Reginald Buckner - Memphis (4* PF Ole Miss)
Tyler Stone - Memphis (3* PF Missouri)
Ferrakohn Hall - Memphis (3* PF Seton Hall)
This is just going back 3 classes and these are just the guys playing for BCS level teams, there are numerous others at smaller D-1 schools (CUSA, Sun Belt, etc.) Pretty impressive list and kind of sad that the state university, who happens to be a top-25 team "overlooked" all of them.
